This is the best watch I have ever owned.
This is the best watch I have ever owned. Period. It has a digital clock (with seconds), a chronometer (stopwatch), an alarm (only one) a timer (can go up to 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds), and the date and month. I got this watch almost two and a half years ago, and the elastic is still perfectly stretchy, and it still tells time great. I have lost it overnight in a field, lost it in a snowy field (to find it an hour later, undamaged), I have gotten gravel bits in the backlight button (still works perfectly), and the best part is, it’s so comfortable, I can sleep in it! The watch is nice and small, so it can be worn for pretty much anything. I find the bulky watches (or 'big face') very annoying and uncomfortable. I would not recommend the other colors because they do not have elastic bands and are uncomfortable. If the band looks too little kiddish for you (I’m thirteen and I’m fine with it) then you can get a new band, but I would seriously recommend keeping it, because it is very comfortable and easy to adjust. Plus it’s elastic so you can just slip it on instead of having to clip it like a belt, which I find annoying. The watch is not waterproof, so make sure to take it off before you take a bath, shower or go swimming. It is water resistant though, so if you get caught in the rain or something, then it should be fine. I know there are more expensive and ‘nicer’ watches out there, but seriously, you get your money’s worth with this one.

Great watch!
Written by the user of this watch, Sean Ebels-Duggan's son. My mom bought me this watch because I frequently go down to my friend's house, a block away. This way I could know when it was time to go home without needing a stationary clock. It works great. I've had it more than six months and it's still going strong. All of the functions are great, although I hardly ever use the alarm. I've discovered many uses for the stopwatch, and the timer is great if you have a time limit on something you do (e.g. video games). The stretchy band works great, and I'm assuming that if I can find new batteries when the batteries burn out, I'll be wearing it for at least another ten years, probably more. I was in the UK recently, so I used the 24-hour and month.date function to adapt my watch to Britain (it can also be put on 12-hour and date-month). The stopwatch only uses even-numbered hundredths of seconds, but that's totally fine. Sometimes the buttons are a little hard to push. You have to hold them to set the watch, which is a bit painful to your fingers, but hardly. It also uses digital time, which awesome if you need to know the time quickly, or if you just can't tell time on analog watch/clock. It's a great item for the price, and I would recommend it to all.

Excellent watch, but not water resistant
This watch is great for active kids with smaller wrists. The stretchy band can be adjusted to fit comfortably, without excess bulk. The operations are simple for my son to understand. He likes the Indiglo function, the timer, and the option for military time. The alarm feature was super valuable this past year, because he had to remember to come in early from recess for an orchestra lesson. I would rate it 5 out of 5 if it were truly water resistant as claimed. My son takes it off for swimming, bathing, etc. On a recent trip to the ocean, he realized within seconds of entering the water that he was still wearing the watch, and took it off. Unfortunately, after only seconds of water exposure, it stopped working. We ordered another--can't do without it!

A good quality watch at a reasonable cost
My 10-yr old grandson was so delighted with this birthday gift, he lit right up and exclaimed 'I always wanted a watch!' (Grandmas know everything.) And we are both happy. I like that it's good quality, Timex, a trusted brand, and that he will learn responsibility as he keeps track of time at a friend's house or after school. I like that rain won't ruin it, and that the band is so user friendly. He likes the snazzy look (camo!), alarms and others buzzing sounds, and bells and whistles. He does NOT own a cell phone, so having an alarm and timer is exciting to him. He figured out how to program it within about 15 min. All this, AND it is indiglo. My grandson's remark was 'I want a watch too' so he will be getting the analog version for his Nov birthday. Everybody happy,

DON'T BUY.......keep looking
I had a Timex Iron man watch when I was a teenager, twenty years ago, that I used for probably ten years. I even lost it one time add found out in a Christmas box the next year year. Apparently I had taken it off when I got a dress watch for Christmas and had put in the new watches box....guess what still going. I probably didn't change the battery but maybe once. I remember thinking even then I haven't changed this battery in years. Ok fast forward twenty years here is my oldest son who for Christmas, at age seven, all he wants at the top of all his Santa list is a watch. So what am I going to get him.....of course a Timex. I researched and found this one though it would be a great durable watch for him. First off after two weeks it stopped working on half the digits....so we contacted Santa's workshop (Amazon customer service) they referred is to the manufacturer aka Timex. They said send it here to the repair center. I did not only did I get a bill from them, after getting it back out was working ok great.....nope. I noticed when he got out of the shower on night it had a significant amount of condensation on the inside. I told my son I'm sorry I thought it was waterproof, he said it didn't do that in the shower before. I said you just got lucky so just take it off before you get in the shower/swim. About a month ago he came to me and said "it's messed up again". I said the battery is probably getting weak I'll change it out for you.....this after eight months....I'm thinking the battery want changed when they did the repair on it...ok I'll do it. Well now I see right on the back stamped on the cover " water resistant 30m" hmmmm that's odd when I crack it open the gasket that would seal it off, gone, not there. This happened after they "repaired" it from the factory that they even tried to bill me for a warranty repair. Bottom line....DON'T BUY

A bit disappointed
Being that it is marketed as a 'kids' watch...you'd think that it might be ever so slightly more durable. All the functions of the watch work fine, but after less than one week of wear, the 'glow' no longer comes on. This is pretty disappointing since it is being worn by a 4 1/2 year old, and despite the intended purpose by dad (the alarm to get him up in the night to use the potty) the fact that it lights up is clearly the coolest thing about it as far as my son was concerned. That no longer works...and he no longer has as much interest in the watch. Which admittedly I'm not sure I do either, since the alarm is NOT loud at all...certainly not loud enough to wake a heavy sleeper (why he needs something to roust him in the night in the first place) and it also only chimes for about 10-15 seconds. It is a nice watch...the band is elastic as well as adjustable, so it can slide on and off easily which is good for a young child. It's 'camo' so he digs the colors too. He has started to take a greater interest in telling time (even if digitally) so there are plenty of positives-thus the three stars. But the mere fact that the part that my son loved the most has gone away after just a week is more than enough to dock the 2 stars off and leave us with 3.

Great watch, no Velcro to fasten it
Awesome watch! My 7 year old loves it. It has a light on it and does the time, seconds, and date. The band is elastic and has and slip through holder like on a belt. It doesn't have Velcro to fasten it and if your not careful the holder won't hold well and the band slips out (making it loose on my sons wrist). We figured out to hold the end in place the pull it over the wrist. Once we did that it stopped slipping. I considered tacking it with a needle and thread so it would be stable. I'll do that in the future if I find we need too. Even with that little glitch my son loves it and wears it everyday!
