OK, Amazon asks you to rate this by "Flavor", "Value for Money", and "Scent".So, flavor... I refuse to taste them, but if I go by the reaction my cats have to them, this is the tastiest stuff that has ever existed on earth. Even my Mr. Picky Eater will crunch on this.Value for money... They're a little pricey, but considering what you get I think they're a good value. It's just salmon, freeze dried into crunchy, puffy, pieces. Nothing else. So if you consider how much salmon there really would be in this little bag if you reconstituted it, plus the effort of freeze-drying it, it's definitely a good value.As for scent, well, it depends on who you ask. To me it smells like a wet wharf on a sunny day, and not in a good way. To the cats it smells like something worth ripping a drawer open to get to, so I went ahead and gave that five stars.I bought some of this at the pet store accidentally a while back, and my two cats went nuts for it. So I just got a big bag to use for training, because it's something I know they like. I wish it was in smaller pieces for the training aspect because I want to give little bits at a time to keep the incentive going; it's in random chunks and you do get a fair bit of fish dust in the bottom of the bag, especially after breaking some of the bigger chunks into cat-sized pieces. But I mean, it's dried fish so how would there not be fish dust?If you've got a cat that's finicky about treats, unless they're weird little fish-haters I think they'll go for this.

My cat absolutely LOVES these treats! When I say she comes running when I open the bag, she comes RUNNING! By far her favorite treats in the whole universe.

cats love these! i open the bag and they can smell it and come running. the quality is great and their coats are thriving. you get some pretty big chunks- it’s best to cut them further before giving to your cats, so the bag lasts a while for the price.

I mistakenly tried a different brand for my last order. I have sure learned my lesson! I hate fish and the smell of these really isn't bad at all. Our cat fell in love with these from the very first one she ate. Sometimes she gets a couple as a treat and sometimes, when she is being finicky about her food, I will crumble a couple of them up and sprinkle on top of her canned food. She will then scarf down anything! I HIGHLY recommend these salmon treats for your cats or dogs. They are wonderful! I think the thing I like the most about this line is that there is only one ingredient, the protein. These work wonderfully for our diabetic cat. She can have a few a day and it still keeps her weight in the healthy range. She truly has trained us well... if we go anywhere near our bedroom, where "her space" is located, out of the reach of our dogs, she has made it clear that she should get a treat! I don't have to tell her no that often anymore since these treats are so much better for her.

Love the product but hate the price. They are worth it because they are good for protein which cats need. Easy to use and break up to smaller pieces. I don’t like that they get broken in transit and the bottom of the bag is dust which the kitties won’t eat on their food.

i have a cat turning 19 this year and he is OBSESSED with these, a great alternative to regular treats!! im glad i can gove hives something he likes that is also so beneficial to his health. only the best for my lil guy :)

I have purchased this exact brand and product in the past and the salmon had a healthy pink-orange color and a flaky consistency that could easily be broken apart by hand.The latest bag I purchased had large cubes (about an inch) that could never be eaten by a cat unless it is a mountain lion or puma. The color was off, like a hot pink, and they were as hard as rocks. I tried smashing them apart for consumption and it was nearly impossible.After finally going a little passionately aggressive with a meat cleaver on a cutting board I managed to smash a few into smaller pieces. All 5 cats who were formerly obsessed with these treats turned their nose up at these.Thinking that this bag must have been contaminated with something to cause this, I contacted Amazon for a replacement only to be told these can’t be returned or replaced. What?? That’s what I get for not reading the small print.I wrote the company asking what the difference in this bag could possibly be, because at $33 this is a luxury that I’m not willing to just ignore, and I have not yet received a response.I won’t be purchasing these anymore because at $33 for cat treats I can’t risk another bag of rocks that can’t be replaced. First world problems, I know.Update: It has now been 1.5 weeks and the company never responded to my question about why the quality of this bag was different. Disappointing customer service to say the least.

The product itself is excellent. My cats love the Salmon whether crumbled up or when water is added. The company recently changed the packaging, which affects the quality of the product. The packaging is flimsy and not secure. Air enters even when "officially closed." As a result the salmon pieces are dried out. One of the packages arrived open at the top, despite the tear strip being intact. Go back to your original packaging.
