Great quality made N scale train display case
I've made display cases in the past for my HO trains. They came out nice, but I had to put a lot of time, effort and money into making them. So when it came time to get something for my N scale trains, I wanted something already made so I can continue enjoying the hobby I love without spending time designing, cutting, fastening, and painting wood. I came across this display case in an Amazon search. I couldn't be happier with the quality and value you get with purchasing these. I did change one thing though. As is, the display case shelves feature a 2mm deep groove to allow your trains to fit in. This was ok, but I wanted to be able to see the truck/wheel detail on my cars. I decided to add a half section of cork roadbed and track to each shelf. I spray painted the cork black and the track camouflage brown, then glued them together using Elmers white glue. I didn't bother gluing them to the shelves themselves. By adding the track, I felt it added a bit more "natural" look to how the trains appear in the case.Anyone looking to display their N scale trains, will really enjoy these display cases. I'm already figuring on buying a second display case. Also need some more trains to fill it with.

Nice quality cabinet. Secure mounting, I did purchase better wall anchors. Train track and trains fit perfectly. Highly recommended.

Great Display Option
This is much better made than the price would lead you to believe. The walnut finish is perfect, hardware installed correctly...just great. Of note, the hinged "lid" of cover swings up, and the hinge will allow it to be opened 180 degrees so you can have 2 hands to load/remove your trains. I will be buying more in the near future.
