Spiderman Should Not Climb Shower Walls
I purchased this item for my 5 year old boy. 5 year old boys as a rule hate taking showers. If you manage to get them into the shower, they do one of two things. They either scream "Mommy!" or "Daddy!" at the top of their lungs until you come help them grab the shower head (and they don't stop until you do), or if they've seen spider man on TV recently they decide to climb the walls of the shower and attempt to grab the shower head themselves. I would cringe every time I witnessed the second scenario. I imagined reality giving my child his first lesson in the "you're not a super hero" series of life. To avoid a late night adventure in a local Emergency Room I decided to be proactive and look for a solution to our problem. I found this item on Amazon and figured that for under $10.00 it was worth a shot. The arm works wonders! Wet the wall a little, attach the suction cup, create pressure, clamp it down and you're good to go. Your shower is now mini-me friendly. Our shower walls are faux tile (fiberglass) walls. They are smooth...but slightly bumpy/textured and ocassionally I'd be called into the shower to "fix" the "suction cup thingy." Wet wall, attach suction cup, create pressure, clamp it down. It's a SUCTION CUP! The item itself is of good quality. It doesn't feel cheap and the reasoning behind its creation is sound. If you have a problem keeping it on the wall it is not the suction cup's fault. You can't blame the thing for not sticking to a textured surface. This isn't what a suction cup does. Also . . . you can't blame the arm for not supporting a really heavy shower head. I wouldn't ask my kid to help me move the couch (although he'd be thrilled if I did), and you shouldn't expect this thing to support an anvil. This item was a huge hit in our home and my child acutally outgrew it. He's 9 now and recently (last year) asked me to remove the "suction cup thingy" from his restroom because "it's for babies." We made the kid squeegee his shower walls and doors after every shower since he started showering on his own and it's habit for him now. Paired with regular cleaning and proper ventilation this cuts down on mold/mildew growing on caulk, grout, and other crevices in your restroom. The item is about 4 years old and shows no sign of age. We still use it when we give the dog a bath and it makes the whole task a lot easier. 5 stars for saving my son's skull, my nerves, it's ease of use, it's longevity, and for making the task of bathing the dog that much easier.

Portable Shower Arm Holder
Good Grief!!! Why didn't I get this sooner. My bathtub enclosure is one of those fiberglass type that surrounds and includes the tub. Why they didn't add plumbing for a shower is baffling to me. To solve the situation and have a shower also would have required tearing out the sheetrock at the adjoining bedroom. I knew there were shower wands but the problem was having to hold it. So, I just put if off. I decided to look for a shower wand holder and came across Mommy's helper Safer Grip Portable Shower Arm. I read the other reviews. Many of them actually. The biggest problems I saw were that it would not grip the wand and it would fall out. The other was the Safer Grip would not stay attached to the wall or stall etc. Well, I decided it was worth a try. So I purchased Mommy's Helper Safer Grip and along with another shower wand holder. I haven't tried the backup yet because the Safer Grip has worked almost flawlessly. I have a chrome shower wand (not one of those plastic lightweight type), and it holds my shower wand just fine. I think it may have fallen out once. The Safer Grip is stuck to the shower stall wall by suction. You press it against the wall and flip the little button down and that is it. No drilling, no special type of cement or anything like that. I think it has fallen off the wall once also. Another good thing is that you can adjust and move it to suit your best shower aim. Too high?, move it lower in just a second or two. Flip the button, move, flip the button, done. I can even understand and not even argue with folks who have had negative reviews. It is plastic and I guess some may be better than others. Mine just happens to work well. I even figure it will give out or quit holding at some point, but big deal, I will just order another. I wish I would have ordered 2 when I did, but I wanted to test it first after reading the reviews. Hope this helps you decide to purchase. I also hope that you get one as good as mine has been.

How I solved the falling problem...
I've had this for about 5 months now; like others, I found that it did fall off the wall occasionally. (Scary to hear that at night!) So here's what I did (I know this is not a viable or attractive option for everyone): I used it for a few months, moving it around until I found exactly the right spot for me (I'm short), then I glued the holder to the wall with white, waterproof Gorilla Glue (I held it in place while the glue was drying with duct tape.) Now, the holder isn't going anywhere! And, it's easy for others in my family to move the showerhead back and forth from the original holder to the Mommy's Helper holder. By the way, our showerhead is by Waterpik, Waterpik TRS-553 Elements 5-Mode Handheld Shower, Chrome , and it fits just fine into the holder (you just need to squish it down a little.) As I've said, I realize that gluing this to the wall isn't for everyone, but it works well for us, and makes our shower much more accomodating for me.

Uso questo reggi doccia da quasi due anni e devo dire che mi trovo molto bene. Il prezzo non è molto economico però tiene davvero bene ed è rarissimo che si stacchi dalle piastrelle...anche a distanza di un paio d'anni!

Suctions easily to ceramic tile, haven’t tried it on fibreglass. First time I stuck it down I had trouble actually getting it off the suction was so strong! It fell once, but I cleaned the tile and stuck it down again and it’s been stuck now (with the shower head in it) for a week with no issues.
