Robust, intuitive and user friendly...exceeding expectations a year later
Echoing the vast majority of reviewers, the PXT501WR02 is the digital picture frame 'to rule them all.' It's the rare piece of technology that 'gets it,' backed by incredible functionality and intuitive features that put competition to shame. This shameless blubbering comes from having struggled with significantly lesser (to include price, notably) products, ones with non responsive interfaces, also ugly photos requiring batch, manual convert to make them even viewable. Despite a pretty good app (Sizeorox) toward this end, nothing truly every looked right upon display. Related, transferring was often times a chore; memory stick recognition and/or dismount was hit/miss. Ugh.Along comes the PXT501WR02 to make things right. It's a champ at converting photos to proper format and size, with both the Web based portal and email function rock stars in transferring photos. Admittedly, the PXT501WR02 is not the most user friendly network device, but - once ready for prime time - it excels. It's ridiculous how easy it is to email photos from smartphones to this frame. An added plus is the ability to screen photos (and potentially delete) if the phone->frame conversion doesn't pass the sniff test. The Web interface is a like champion, capable of importing from an array of social media sharing sites. I'm a big fan of the multiple upload/drag and drop feature, one - while a tad slow - never lets me down. Ditto the on/off timer that is yet to hiccup. The collage view is awesome.Combined, the ease of use with the PXT501WR02 arguably changes the way one can use a digital frame. Friends and family always stop and watch our pics...ones that are both ever-changing and natural with it so easy to update the frame. I can't imagine how many of these I unintentionally sold after explaining this great device updates by sending emails.Criticisms are few but notable: A motion sensor would be nice...and would accompany the timer well. The menu is - as critics detailed - anything but pretty. The same for the Web interface, one which confuses via an array of seemingly unconnected options. Network setup - as mentioned - took a bit of time...coming from a fairly competent guy in this area. Weather display...meh.Still - if you're looking to buy or gift a digital frame - the PXT501WR02 is where conversation should arguably begin and end. Great product, Pix-Star!

Great frame! Love it! Perfect for families and for elderly who may not be comfortable with electronics.
I love this frame! I bought it for my 88 year old mother as a Christmas gift. She has an older Sony digital frame, but I had to come into town with my laptop to load it and as a result the pictures were rarely updated. She is no longer able to work on a computer or use Facebook so she was feeling left out. This frame solved that! It was very easy to set up. I sent the e-mail address to friends and family and photos started pouring in! I chose a setting that highlights new photos in the rotation so they are shown more frequently, and added her location so that the weather report appears periodically. The website is very easy to use and I really like that I can manage the frame remotely. While others can e-mail or use the app to send photos, the app is a good choice as it is easy and sizes and positions photos correctly for the frame. There is tons of storage for photos so she will not run out of room. The image quality is very good. The only shortcoming is that there is no motion detection so it is always on. There is an option to set times of day to be on, but I found that less desirable since she cannot figure out how to adjust the settings each time it comes back up. The frame has a video option, but the one video I tried when I tested it had such poor image quality on the frame that I would not recommend that either. I don't consider that a problem though since it would be used infrequently and as it works so well otherwise.I am very tempted to upgrade my frame as well now (especially since I can have multiple frames on the same account), and to give one to my sister whose son just had his first child (since they live in different cities). It just makes it so easy for everyone to share photos effortlessly!

FANTASTIC Product That Displays Images PERFECTLY!
I wanted a digital picture frame to display my photos. I did a little research, and the frame that I found to be rated the best was the Aluratek ADMPF108F 8-inch Hi-Res Digital Photo Frame. So I purchased it. I was terribly disappointed. The frame did not automatically adjust the picture to fit the frame. Specifically, if the photo was taken in landscape mode, it showed the image in landscape mode, regardless of whether or not the image was vertically correct or not. So, there were quite a few "sideways images" being displayed, and it was just unacceptable.I heard a commercial on radio about a frame that used WiFi to allow for images to be sent directly to the frame, and it piqued my interest. That frame wasn't available on Amazon, so I researched a WiFi enabled frame that was available on Amazon, and found the Pix-Star 10.4 Inch Wi-Fi Cloud Digital Photo Frame FotoConnect XD. I read some reviews that said it was "difficult to set up", but generally speaking, the ratings for the frame were good, so I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did!I found the frame setup to be very easy. Albeit it took maybe about a half hour to get all the pictures I wanted onto the frame, but that time was more about going through a lot of images, and selecting which ones I wanted to be shown on the frame. The actual frame setup took no more than five minutes. I was able to log into my iCloud on my pc, and effortlessly transfer all the images I wanted from the cloud directly onto the frame. It could not have been easier. When you set up the account, you are given an email account that you can send pictures directly to.The frame displays every photo correctly, automatically arranging it so it fits the screen. I run the slide show, and the frame has several effects when changing pictures, such as a zoom out old picture, zoom in new, and a fade out old picture, slide in new picture. The day, date, and current time show nicely on the top of the frame, and the frame turns off at the designated time, and back on at the designated time. I am completely satisfied and actually pleased with the functionality of this frame. If you, like me, have a ton of pictures that you would like to transfer from your iPhone, iPad, Facebook, and the cloud to a digital frame that will display them properly, then this frame is for you! While it may cost $100 more than the other "High Rated" frame, it works so much better that I think it's worth every cent!***** Having read my review and viewed the images, I laughed out loud! The images shown below are PRECISELY what the frame DOES NOT DO! The frame would rotate the pictures to show them correctly. The other frame displayed pictures just like the ones below: sideways! ;)
