From His Lips
This was a perfect compliment to their story. I always wonder what the hero is thinking in certain scenes (especially the NY one at the end). I loved it.

YOU HAVE TO READ THIS!!!
I normally find these short stories a waste of time, like the author just wants to get an extra chaper in to justify getting more money. That is definately NOT the case here. This book is the perfect compliment to 53 Letters for my lover. It is exquisitely well written, and I dare say maybe even better than the original book, soooooooo poetic and heart stopping (i.e...."I'm worn down to my bones, achy and ragged from this soul-marathon"). The author takes a regular sentence and turns it into an emotional experience, and I especially liked the fact that she didn't use this short story as an excuse to rewrite the sexual encounters through his eyes. It is a fresh look at the entire story through Troy's point of view, shedding light on moments that are "skipped" in the original book, and adding a lot of missed information to the story, showing Troy's presence at moments where he wasn't visible to Shayda.I found this short story enlightening for it explains and even justifies Troy's attitude and his actions through the the original book. His ideals, and morals, why he stays away for so long. I especially loved that, because I really didn't like his character at the beginning and now I totally understand him.My only complaint is that it is toooooooo short. I didn't want it to end!!! Or maybe that's just me getting greedy and impatient over having to wait for more by this author. Leylah Attar has now become one of my favorites and I wish I had more stars to give her! The best I can do is highly recommend all her books, they are heart wrenching, sad, suspenseful, wonderful love stories that are not for the faint of heart. Read them all!

An ode to everlasting love...
After reading "53 Letters for my lover" I needed so much more of Troy... I figured "From his lips" would be a happy read for me, making me laugh at Troy's sexy and humorous banter...but NO, this was not what this novella was all about. This is another heart-breaking confession of a disruptive, charming, rule-breaker whose life was turned upside down the moment he laid eyes on Shayda. He lost it all whenever she was in his arms... his witty quips, sexy teasing and charming banter... all of it gone and replaced by a sense of protection, "ready to go all the way to the gates of Hades for her"! He tried to give up and leave her but it was humanly inpossible to stay away... and that's what this story is all about... Troy's inner struggle to hold on and hope that he would eventually break all of Shayda's barriers and defences. I couldn't possibly love a man more than I do Troy... a name connected to a Greek myth...which I can now understand through this novella. A story that pulled hard on my heart strings... a beautiful 5 star ode to an everlasting love.

After reading 53 love letters to her lover I couldn't resist his version
After reading 53 love letters to her lover I couldn't resist his version. Seriously, this is an amazing author who captivates the essence of love and the gritty reality of day to day living with a rich pattern of love that is interwoven in Shaydah and Troy's loves.I loved that Troy stayed true to Shayda and was very much present in her life and her feelings. Hafiz was cold, empty and not really engaged in her or their family. Sadly circumstances damaged Hafez to the point that they carried on a presentation of their pretend type relationship for the world but their marriage was a farce.Needless to say their relationship grew and all I can say that it was moving, explosive and committed to each other. This story plus the history that knits the two lead players in the story together makes a tense and satisfying read. Worthy of way more than 5 stars. The story will hold your attention from the beginning to the end.Lesley S

Loved Troy's POV!
Immediately after finishing 53 Letters From My Lover I had to dive into this one. I absolutely loved the first book and was eager to see the story play out from Troy’s POV. While a lot of it read the same way as Shayda’s perspective, we also get a glimpse of just how invested Troy is in his love for Shayda. He may come across as aloof if times in the first book, kind of cocky, but it is apparent that he must behave that way in order to keep himself from getting hurt.Once again the story was beautifully written and this is a very quick read. If you loved the first book, you’ll love this one as well.

Ahhh I don't want this story to end
Oh Troy, sigh…I finished it but it wasn’t nearly enough. I loved his voice – so distinct and nothing like hers. It was the same story and some scenes were the same, but it was different at the same time. There were also scenes with his life before and after her which was interesting to see new things off pages in the 1st book. Beautifully written in typical Leylah Attar style. It’s a pity it was so short. I wish we had a full 400+ pages of his story. This was definitely a very memorable male character – powerful and determined, yet so loving and caring…ah…swoon and sigh some more!

AN ESSENTIAL GLIMPSE INTO THE MIND OF TROY HEATHGATE. HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!
This is a follow on novella that contains spoilers. It should only be read after you've read the full length novel, 53 Letters for my Lover. From His Lips is an absolute must read if you want the full reading experience of this epic love story. It is the perfect insight into the mind and soul of Troy Heathgate - The man who has it all, except for the one thing he can't have. ....Shayda Hijazi." Because she wasn't mine to love. Or to have. Or to hold. She wore a shiny band around her finger, and it wasn't mine. She had worn it since the first time we'd met."From His Lips fills in gaps that give us very important and informative snippets of Troy's thoughts and feelings. It is a highly readable and enjoyable novella, that will enable you to understand, in more detail, the mind of the very gorgeous Troy Heathgate.Another first class offering by the very talented author, Leylah Attar.

Fantastic read!
I want to cry and rage about time wasted.I want to shout about the injustice of life and fate. But then is fate the unseen force that brought Troy and Shayda to meet, on a beach, on a street, at a wedding, in the rain?If fate was the cause, I rejoice it. Betrayal, an affair, illicit perhaps? Love though, pure love is something we all want.I loved, loved, loved this book. The book boundaries of cheating don't limit me and neither should they you if it means losing out on such an amazing read as this book and its companion.

Filling in the missing pieces!
I am not usually to keen on novellas for a story from the other persons point of view, but I did really enjoy this one. I t was so helpful filling in the gaps over the thirty years when Troy wasn't in Shayda's life. As with all Leylah Attar's writing this is excellent and insightful. If you have read 53 Letters, then this is a must read!
