A great and affordable 4k HDR(ish) monitor.
This LG monitor is, in one word, great. Out of the box, it came with a color calibration sheet, and told me about gamma, delta E (<5) , and white balance (3500K). Once activated on the OSD, Freesync was immediately dected by my Radeon Software, which was nice. The monitor looks great, with nice brightness (more on that later) and clarity. It came with both a Displayport 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 cable, as well as a small external power brick. The stand is good, and has some weight to it, however I did not use it, and instead took advantage of the 100mm VESA mounts.Back to the display. I see this monitor as "HDR 10" compatible, and windows 10 detects this as an HDR monitor, but please note, it only has a peak brightness on about 350 nits, making it more HDRish. The bezel sizes are alright, but nothing special. I personally would not use this monitor for Competitive gaming, as the response time is not great and it is only 60hz, however it does have Freesync, so more cinematic games look great. Video consumption and production on this thing is nice as well, and I would definitely recommend this monitor. For the last image of both monitors, the one on the right is the LG 4K monitor, which has an IPS panel. The left one is an older Samsung VA panel, at 1440p.

Great for the price
I am a graphic designer, and needed a good monitor to work on stuff. My whole day is in adobe, and this monitor is perfection if you're not trying to break the bank. The color is good, and picture is super clear. I was really pleased with it's quality. Also a nice size.

Excellent and comprehensive menu allows for individual fine tuning to users needs.
Fantastic monitor. Most of all the menus are easy to access and understand. These allow for fine tuning the monitor to the user's individual needs. Picture quality is first class, with excellent resolution and sharpness.

Huge Upgrade to my Editing
I bought this monitor to replace an older HP IPS model that I never really could get dialed in on the color. I edit on a MacBook Pro and the colors between the MacBook and the old monitor were always pretty far off. Had lots of problems with reds on the old monitor being over saturated. I saw the reviews on this and thought it would be worth a try. So far, I'm loving it. The colors right out of the box are much closer to my Mac and the clarity is amazing. The old monitor was 1920 x 1440. I'm running this monitor in 3840 x 2160/60Hz and for photoshop and Lightroom, it's just flat out awesome right out of the box. Skin tones are much more representative of actual tones.PROS: Clear Picture, Good Color, Good Brightness.CONS: I don't like the menu system, the joystick controller, and the "beeps" are super annoying. The sounds the monitor makes are very much like an old school Colleco video game. When it powers down it's painful.** UPDATE ** NOVEMBER 8, 2023 - After using this quite heavily for a while, and calibrating it with a Spyder, I've noted that things have changed a bit. No longer matching my Macbook display a much as I'd like. I've spent a lot of time trying to dial in the hues for skin tone to look good across a variety of apple devices, and I was struggling. Last week grabbed an Apple Studio Display and that was the final nail in the coffin for this display. I think as a stand alone display, for gaming or other work, this is a great display. The resolution is nice and it looks pretty good. But when you're doing photo/video work, and you need consistency across your displays, this wasn't what I needed (and I realize that most people won't use it for professional photo editing, so keep that in mind as well). Still a worthy buy at the price. OH!!! And I'm not sure if there was an update to the firmware or what, but the annoying beeps are gone. It now makes a much nicer sound when turning off and on. Good job LG!!!

Really nice for its price
I needed a monitor for personal photo editing. I'm not trying for images that will win prizes, just cleaning up family photos and outdoor shots. I use Affinity Photo to process raw files and fix up photos that have problems. Having a monitor that gives a reasonable color rendition is all I need. I already had another LG 27" monitor, but this one definite is a step up. It didn't cost a ton more than the older one, so great value. Added perk, games look great on it. No different to set up than any other monitor, I have a twin arm so the desk space underneath the monitors is usable.

Perfect for using with both Mac and PC
I needed a monitor that would work with both my work computer (Dell laptop) and my personal computer (Mac Mini M4). I have my Mac Mini plugged into one of the two HDMI ports and my work computer's docking station plugged into the DisplayPort. I can seamlessly switch between the two by pressing the button at the bottom of the monitor and switching the display input, which made this instantly worth the purchase! Display quality is great and easily customizable, and the size of the monitor is perfect for me. I highly recommend using a monitor stand or something that can adjust the height, as the monitor can only tilt to adjust. Setup was easy and I had this monitor up and running in under five minutes.

Great monitor, but came damaged
Good color and brightness. Love the 4k resolution. High quality build. Performs well enough for my photo/video editing and media creation needs. VESA mountable. I like it so far. However, there is some damage behind the screen. It's like a scratch or something inside. The surface is smooth when I rub my finger over it. I tried using all sorts of cleaners, but the damage is really within the screen/glass or whatever. It's right in the center of the screen too. Very annoying. I noticed it from Day 1 but I really needed the extra monitor and I thought initially that I could clean it off or fix it somehow. That unfortunately is not the case...I have a few days left to return it and I'm debating whether I should, but the lost productivity as well as the hassle of returning it might not be worth all the effort - not to mention having to find a replacement. I really wish this had come without this defect/damage, otherwise I would have given this monitor 5 stars.
