I love it!!!!
This scope is way worth the money. Built well!!! I Submerged it in water, tumbled it in the dryer, put it in the freezer.... It works, and works well. No internal fogging no defects in the glass, no waviness, no blurring, no need for a parallax adjustment, the edges are clear and in focus at all magnifications. Everyone at my job made fun of me because they have expensive Nikon, and Burris scopes, but shut up when I was hitting center at 200 yrds and they were about 2 inches off. Make sure you can shoot before you start buying really expensive scopes that you don't know how to use. That's what my daddy always told me!! Well.. he really didn't but I'll say it to my children if and when i have any.Ooooohhh!!!! The green and red cross-hair choices, are just a great feature. Black works just fine, but that green in the day time, and red at night is a lovely tool to incorporate!!! Barska, you earned yourself a lifetime customer, and i wont stay on the cheap side seeing the great quality of the work. I know I''ll get my moneys worth with you guys. Thank you for building such a nice product!!

Wow, Really Surprised!
I know what you're thinking...Barska is the cheapest scope on the planet. But does that make it the worst? Heck no. While this is not a "First Focal Plane Etched" Scope, it is also did not cost me $2,000. It is a very budget-worthy, reliable scope that does the job well, or better than other "3rd Focal Plane" scopes, and the bonus is that it cost me less than $200. The included scope rings fit wonderfully and have held tight. The canted battery holder may look strangely offset, but is very practical, because it doesn't hinder your view of the elevation knob, nor the the windage knob, nor the focus knob...very thoughtful design, meaning you can keep the scope on point while making adjustments with a simple glance up or sideways with your finger still at trigger. I'm enjoying this scope, because I am shooting sub-MOA's (1/2"@100 yards), and I can most likely blame my load, my barrel, or myself for that deviation -- but not the scope...Plus, it's really good looking, and folks at the range always ask me which model of Night***** I am using (the $2,000 brand). When I say "Barska", they are shocked.

Got more than what I paid for!
First let me say, the reticule is on the SECOND FOCAL PLANE. Not sure of the proper magnification for mildot relation formula. I received the scope today and I have to say I was quite surprised that I like it as much as I do. It was exactly as described. I did though see two things that I didn't like. First, on the turrets the hash marks did not EXACTLY line up with the indexing dot. I am a mortar man in the military, so we get picky about these kinds of things. Second, the top scope mounting rings were not even. (The top part of the mount. A Phillips screw driver and 30 seconds... fixed.) But everything else is fine. The crosshairs are straight. The clicks are crisp. The reticule lights WITHOUT distortion. I have looked through and fired with some of the best glass that the US Army has(Leopold, Nikon, Trijicon, and Zeiss) but this is worth every penny. In my opinion, the thought process of "good glass" and "light transmission" applies more to life and death in limited visibility conditions and not the range or the woods.***UPDATE*** I fired 115 rounds with this on my AR. First 5 round group at 50yrds was 2.5" right and 2.5" low. A few adjustments and I was good to go. After zeroing I removed the turrets and then replaced them back at zero. Done. I never saw any distortion or blurriness. Held zero perfectly. Just before leaving the range, I shot a snuff can at 100yrds perfectly on the cross hairs. Then a stationary clay pigeon at 300 yards on one Mil dot up. Very pleased with this scope for the price. Would be happy for twice the price as well!

For the money its a GREAT Scope
Given the fact that this is only a two hundred dollar scope the fit and finish is great! The overall quality of the glass is pretty good. There is no color or fuzzing around the edges, the reticle is crisp and clear and the glass is very clear at all magnifications. It gets plenty of light even when its a bit overcast. I ditched the cheapo rings it came with and picked up a set of Burris Signature rings. These rings were ESSENTIAL to getting this scope dialed in. It required a 5moa shim under and 10moa shim on the left. With the Burris rings this is a piece of cake. Using the included rings I can see why many of the other reviews suggested that they couldn't get the scope sighted in. The lens covers are pretty cheap but basically standard fare and only good for keeping the glass safe moving it around. The only challenge with this scope is that the eye relief has a VERY narrow window at full or near full magnification. At lower magnifications it is no problem at all. For the money, this scope is going to be VERY difficult to beat in a very robust market at this price point. I would venture to say that this scope can compete with some of the big boys while being FAR more versatile for the average shooter.

Interesting Scope At A Good Price
I bought this scope from Amazon for 1/2 of what it was in local store for--I like to shop local, but this huge of a price gap? I put this scope on a Ruger 10/22 Take Down, hoping I could leave it on rifle & still take it apart & have it fit into the case; success. Most scopes are much too long & leave on & have the receiver part of the rifle fit, but this scope just makes it. This is a Davidson's exclusive version that is all stainless steel with flash suppressor, black stock with a 25 round mag, & this scope really fits the 'look' of this rifle (also added a Laser Max laser to it). The scope itself is also good to use with black, 2 shades of green & 2 shades of red reticles--I like the the lighter green, being very visible in most lighting & situations. Very easy scope to sight in, like the sunshade, easy to find & install common battery, plus 'looks' good. I like it.--------UPDATE October 2016---still a great scope--has held zero & still has original battery in it, but uses a common CR2032 anyhow--was a perfect choice for thisrifle--accuracy is stupefying--do not adjust scope for the ten different brands & types of ammo I use--every shot dead on

Quality and Price, cant beat it
Bought this scope for my savage .223 and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Holds 0 perfectly. Super clear lens at full 24x magnification. Looks awesome and the windage and elevation adjustments work flawlessly. Holding a 3" group at 350 yards and can see my target holes clearly. The only down side I can come up with isn't with the scope, its that I cannot find good flip up scope cover to work with the tilted sun shade. Over all very satisfied with my purchase. Will be getting the 10-40x50 next by Barska for sure.

Good value for the money!
it too bad products like these arent more readily available in the target and hunting sector of our local stores..the price is right, it has limited life time warranty. function wells. clarity is excellant. HOLD zero even on heavy caliber. great for varmints and will reach them out to 1000yds.. tried of payin high price, then buy this product. Cant wait when trade opens with europe. more products will become available. just do it..you cant go wrong!

Great Scope On .300 Rem Ultra Mag
I just got this last week put it on my Sako .300 Rem Ultra Mag (the barrel is only Magnaported) with Sako Optilock Rings. I've put 31 rounds down the pipe shooting under 1" groups at 200 yards with the first 30 rounds. Then shot my first Buck with the last round at 120 yards. This Scope works great for it's price range I have a Varmint Scope from Barska on my .22 Mag and it's always accurate. Love these scopes and I will continue to be a customer.

unless mounting on a pellet gun - DO NOT BUY THIS SCOPE
I bought two of these, first one broke after about 300 rounds, mounted on an SKS..purchased a second one thinking I maybe misshandled it, but after the second one broke on me only after about 150 shots - I took both of them apart and it turns out both cracked right under the zoom ring, the rear eye piece became loose and I was actually able to pull the rear eye piece out without removing any screws!Save your money on something else unless you're buying it for a pellet gun, even then I'd consider something better constructed. The aluminum tube is very weak at the mounting point for the zoom ring/rear piece (half tube actually - that's the point where both of them broke)Very unhappy with this product and would not reccomend it at all.
