If my charger for my camera does not work, how do I charge this battery? Is there an independent charger that I can get somewhere?

If you have an AC adapter for the camera, the batteries can always charge in place there. You can usually find a camcorder adapter more easily than a dedicated battery charger. That is a specialized lead acid gel cell that needs the original charge controlling circuit.
