Stride Rite Baby and Toddler Boys Cooper Casual Sneaker

After 3 weeks of light use, the white outer covering material is already cracking. I have not put them in the washing machine or done anything other than wiping off with a sponge and water. Very disappointing to see such a quality problem after such a short time. My son only wears these during the time he is required to wear his school uniform. After he gets home he puts on play shoes so these don't get very heavy use.

I am not sure I like these sneakers. The price is good, which is why I bought them here. I used to buy Stride Rite Zeke for my little guy, but he's now outgrown the toddler model. I figured that this one (Cooper) would be the same, just bigger. Well it's not. The shoe has a plasticky appearance, and although it said it was leather, it was very hard and uncomfortable looking. It was also a bulky shoe. I'm not a believer in "having to break in the shoe". I think that is the job of a manufacturer, to make already comfortable shoes. Especially if they are kid's sneakers. Honestly I am disappointed with what I've seen in "big boy" shoes. I think that's not their target market any more. They would rather concentrate on baby and toddler shoes. I think it might be time for me to switch the brand.

My kids needed this particular brand to wear with their school uniform, but partway through the school year, they already outgrew their shoes. The fit is as expected and my children find the shoes to be very comfortable for running around and all of the usual things kids love to do. The price here at Amazon is much better than the store the school recommends for uniform purchases, but the brand and quality are just as good. I will definitely buy here again the next time my kids out grow their shoes. The shoes are wearing well and seem pretty easy to clean by wiping down every so often.

My 6-7 year old has now gotten 9 months out of wear (including a lot of playground play) out of them. What I like about these sneakers is that they last. But I have to warn you that they start looking cracked and awful pretty fast. Now these weren't uniform shoes for my child - just sneakers and I've bought many pairs over the years and will continue to buy them. But if looks is high on your priority radar - this isn't the right shoe. If holding up under daily wear for months and months with a lot of wear is what you want - it's a great buy.

Durable, comfortable, easy to clean, resists water and mud. Can't say enough about this shoe. My daughter has Autism and tends to tip toe, which ruins the front of her shoes. This has a toe guard. She doesn't have to tie shoes, and her step is better because of the shape of the shoe. Her therapist recommended this shoe. PLEASE keep making this shoe in pure white. It goes with everything.

Completely disappointed with these shoes. The velcro completely separated from the strap on both shoes after only a few weeks. The shoes can't be used if you can't strap them on. Another parent in my sons class bought the same pair of shoes and she said they did the exact same thing.

Perfect "all black" shoe for my little boy hip-hop dancer to wear in his parade. Fit was perfect (used a stride rite print out size chart). He walked 4 miles in them on the first day he got them and had no complaints. Love that I didn't have to worry about his shoes coming untied during that parade.

We have tried every extra wide tennis shoe available on Amazon in toddler sizes, and some wides. This is the best value. The New Balance is also very good. Meanwhile it costs twice the price. The Velcro stays after months of punishment on this shoe.. If your child has extra wide feet, this is the one. Wide is not right sometimes. Extra wide is what we need.
