I have a 10 yr old 12 amp Skill saw that still works well , but I have some trouble making accurate cuts with it. I was wanting a more powerful saw with a solid shoe and not the stamped steel variety , that is on my old saw. This was on sale for a great price and I decided to give it a try. I've used it twice now and I'm pleasantly impressed with the quality. It is a 15amp saw with a solid shoe. Some reviews mention it's weight to be heavy. This saw weighs a little over 9 lbs. I'm 70 yrs old and do a bit of DIY , so I'm using it quite often. I like the weight of this saw because the weight helps me keep the saw straight when I'm ripping or cross cutting. It comes with an excellent blade , which is important. Never use a saw with a dull blade , it's dangerous. This saw was on sale for $79.99 , which is half as much as a Dewalt. If you're a weekend wood warrior , like me , this saw is incredible. I love it.

Saw works perfectly with exactly the right amount of power. It comes with tool to change the blade which is fantastic! Easy to use, a little heavy but that's expected. Appears that it will last for many years

I do serious woodworking and cabinetry and a reliable sturdy circular saw is one of the basic tools one must have. The base plate is all metal, not stamped steel as in cheap saws (stay away from those!!). It's on the wide side as the distance from the wider side to the blade is a bit more than 5"; it's all good for the stability or if mounted on a cross cut/ripping jig. Motor runs smooth and rather quiet, relatively speaking. Ear protection is still necessary IMHO, but, hey it's your earing that will suffer not mine... The dust chute is well designed and this saw does not throw too much saw dust all over the place though eye protection is needed (safety first!). Note that there is no dust port provided, nor an edge guide. My only gripe is the bag which is not really needed. I'd rather have the dust collector than a bag for this tool. I use a guide bar for all my cuts so the edge guide would be at best superfluous. I guess the egg heads at Metabo/Hitachi thought better and, mainly, cheaper to give a carrying bag instead of the dust port. Too bad and it's the reason why I cut off a star from my rating.... Overall it fares way better than other cheap saws and the $80 I paid make it a real deal. Definitely recommended.

works great for the cost. Kind of rickety but its solid enough for the price. The angle changing is smooth and solid though

Ordinarily, the blade you get when you buy a saw is usually not the best. But the one that came with this Metabo cuts extremely clean. The motor is quite powerful, so the blade doesn't bog down (I'm comparing it to my old Black & Decker from 30+ years ago) and is really quiet for a circular saw. The foot is cast aluminum with square bottom edges (as opposed to a bent steel plate with rounded edges, so it's easy to line up the cut accurately. My only complaint might be that the depth of cut is determined by pushing a lever, which loosens it up too easily, making dialing it in accurately a little difficult, but I'm sure i'll figure out a more accurate process with practice. All in all, a great machine at a great price point.

Hasta ahora me ha funcionado muy bien . Tiene buena fuerza y corta bien y es facil de ajustar . Se siente firme y comoda al momento de usarla . Cumple muy bien para lo que la recesitaba

La compré en oferta y la verdad que vale la pena comprarla aún en su precio original es una excelente herramienta muy bien hecha y muy potente. La comparo con una ridgid y pesa casi la mitad y ofrece una muy buena calidad en sus acabados y los plásticos son resistentes. La base es de aleación y es una base más ancha que las otras lo cual ofrece una buena estabilidad para cualquier corte, lo primero que corte fue una cubierta de cocina y la corte con el disco que viene incluído y ni una astilla en el recubrimiento plástico. La recomiendo completamente y ya sea para principiantes o para experime tacos es una excelente herramie ya para el trabajo.

Ya había comprado con anterioridad ésta sierra, la usé por 4 meses y a un amigo le gustó mucho que terminó convenciéndome de vendérsela. Compré después una makita pero no me gustó era muy pesada, ruidosa, la zapata super sencilla y 50% más cara, asi que decidí devolverla. Compré después una craftsman de 15 amperios que me pareció sería muy buena pero oh decepción! Traia los manerales de plástico y la zapata se movía bastante no se mantenía quieta aunque los manerales estuvieran bien apretados, de lo demás creo estaba bien pero terminé devolviéndola. Mejor volví a comprar ésta super sierra METABO aunque es una sierra básica cumple su cometido y estoy contento con su desempeño para lo que requiero es muy potente y de fácil manejo. No duden en comprarla!! en mi experiencia la recomiendo!!

Compré la herramienta porque había leído algunas reseñas en medios especializados y no me arrepiento de la compra. Tiene una gran potencia y gran presición. El único pero que le pongo es que el paquete trae una bolsa para la herramienta en lugar del adaptador para conectarlo a la aspiradora, aún así la bolsa es de muy buena calidad.
