Fan Gemstone Gauge, 7 Blades

Great item for jewelry dealers. People always want to know what size or carat weight diamonds , or other precious stones are. This is perfect for estimating she of antique, rose cut diamonds. They can not be weighed without their being taken out of the setting, and they are not to be judged by weight the same as modern diamonds, but this tool gives my customers an idea of what size the stones are in the jewelry I selll.

Really like this little gadget, I use it when I go shopping for gems and pearls and antique "jewels" I really like how it can fit in my pocket and all the different shapes just what I was looking for. Now when the description says "it's 2mm" I can look at my gauge and have a great idea about the true size and shape of the gemstone.

The items were as expected. They are used in a commercial setting and so get used often and have held up to the job.

It's an allright little tool. It shows carat by size. I could be wrong, but thought carat was determined by weight. My fault ordering, thought it had mm sizes.
