Very good purchase. Only weird thing was the numbers on one of the knobs rubbed off in the first few days! However, an excellent, fast, asy to clean little emergency hob. Highly recommend.

Thanks to the ineptitude of the UK government and corruption of the energy sector, those of us who prefer a gas hob are paying through the nose to use it so rather than my money being in their pocket I’ve got this beauty so more of it stays in mine. It’s slower to boil a pan than a gas hob and a giant pan of water never boils but provided you are reasonable with the heat up time and use a regular pan it’s perfect, once it hot it stays hot so regulating the temperature takes a bit of practice but once you’ve mastered it it’s no problem.

Works, heats up fairly quickly. But arrived with paint peeling on all 4 corners (see pics)

I bought this single electric hot plate for occasional use in a small kitchen, expecting it to be a simple and convenient solution. It worked fine at first — heated up quickly and seemed decent for the price — but it stopped working entirely after just four days. There was no warning or visible damage; it simply wouldn’t turn on one morning. I tried different sockets, checked the fuse, but nothing helped. For something that’s supposed to be portable and ideal for students or holiday homes, you’d expect at least basic reliability. The build quality also felt cheap — the temperature control dial was loose and imprecise, and the unit got alarmingly hot around the sides during use. I wouldn’t have felt confident continuing to use it even if it hadn’t failed, especially in a caravan or small space. This hot plate might be affordable, but it’s not worth even the low price if it can’t last a week. I ended up replacing it with a more reputable brand. Avoid this one if you’re looking for something that actually lasts.

Had to buy due to our hob breaking. At such a low price I didn’t really have high hopes but needed something to use! Well it’s great. Can’t comment on longevity as only used it once but it boiles pasta easily. Got to temperature as quick as the hob does. Looks tidy. So overall a good purchase! Would recommend.

Heats up quickly and has been really useful as a temporary replacement for my cooker that is not working. Easy to clean and easy to use.

As seen in picture, smaller than imagined but works very well, slow to heat for a previous gas burner cook but very effective.

Lovely looking double hob. We bought for my Dad as he recently moved and was without a hob, being on his own this is the perfect size for occasional use however loses a star as the back right leg is fractionally shorter causing the unit to wobble, easily solved with a double sided padded sticky dot but may be an issue for others.
