Ballet is fun and easy with this classic program created especially for preschoolers.

AWESOME Homeschool PE activity
This is great practice for those once-a-week ballet classes, to keep the kids limber and continue improving knowledge of terminology, strength, flexibility and grace throughout the week. And the best part is, they all enjoy it! I have two boys and two girls, ages 5 to 9, and we all do it in our small living room together. It gets a little crowded, but we figure it out. As a home educator, I love being able to be active indoors without tearing down the house. If you are a home educator, you know it can be difficult to keep the kids active when the weather is bad...which around here in the Northwest is a majority of the year. I first tried this video when I checked it out at the library in a different town. My kids were between 2 and 6 at that time. Three years have passed and I STILL remembered how much they loved doing it then. When I couldn't find it at the library in our new town, I had to find another way. As someone who does not shop online, for me to take the time to seek it out and buy it means it is very good for our family!

Great kids dance movie
I purchased A Fantasy Garden Ballet Class and its sequel A Fantasy Garden Ballet class II for my 2 year old daughter who is not quite old enough for a dance class. She absolutely loves watching it and loves Miss Rosemary, she sings along with the songs and participates as if she's part of the class on the tv. I have used it with my preschool class in the winter when we can't get out to exercise and even the boys like it. It has great little songs to do along with ballet stretches. The children love that there are small children (aged 4-6) showing the stretches. I love that the music is quiet and soft flowing so that it keeps the kids calm instead of getting them too hyped up. I give this movie 5 stars.

Good content, but a bit dated visually
I watched and performed this video with my granddaughters, ages 4 & 5. They take ballet classes and I teach preschool dance classes. I have used the music by Bruce Foster in my own classes but had not seen the video. The concepts and content is good, but my granddaughters noticed how "old" the video looked.

Love this dance video!
My 3 yo daughter loves this video! It's just like being in the dance class. The dances are segmented so she can do one dance or 5 dances at a time. Good exercise for her, too! And btw, so much cheaper than the actual dance classes.....

My girls enjoy this
This is a cute ballet video and my girls enjoy it. I think it is probably best suited for under 5. I would have preferred that the girls demonstrating were a little bit older than the target age to demonstrate mastery but all in all it is a good buy.

perfect intro to ballet
My five year old daughter loves this and has learned so much from it. She calls it her "ballet lesson". When she accidentally broke our first copy, I immediately ordered a replacement because we like it so much!

This was a fairly boring and lame video
Oh my. This was a fairly boring and lame video. My 2 year old wouldn't watch it and i couldn't stand it. Wish i could get my rental fee back.

Painful to watch
I may not be qualified to write a review on this video, because I have zilch ballet knowledge. However, I did purchase it and am at this very moment being forced to listen to it for the third time in three years. I think I will make it "disappear" tomorrow. On the positive side, the songs sound sweet. However, all they did was film a ballet class! And, the teacher seems tense, cranky and very intent on the kids in the class doing the ballet moves "properly". My God, these kids are preschoolers! Unless they're prodigies who need extra challenge, let them be kids and have fun! My five year old daughter fortunately is lucky enough to have a real dance class with a teacher who has loads of enthusiasm and energy who doesn't pressure the girls to conform to strict dance forms so early.

My 5 yr old's favourite dance class
So well done that my 5 year old can do the video on her own. She calls this her dance class and loves to pull it out regularly. I love that it isn;t just a bunch of music and movement, but that true skills are actually being reinforced. The teacher's voice is very gentle and nice to listen to and the music is a lovely addition to the household noise.
