I found the early part of this frustrating, the characters sending each other mixed signals and teasing, made it all very stop start and interrupting the flow. Once things settled a bit and the plot actually got going it was quite a good read and for the most part I enjoyed it. Not a 5 star but definitely warranted a 4. I'm actually reading the box set but like to review on single books as well. Subject matter is interesting and has some suspense, even some romance did creep in. Some violence and abuse.This one is a little smoother than the first one but not by much. Still lots of hot and cold though I do understand from Cherri's perspective the why's and lack of trust. Jax though talks a good one but it takes a long time before he really actually comes through for her, when he does and how he does I'm glad. Trust and respect is not a given, ever! It is something that is earned on both sides and proven with time. When you feel you have no other choice or anyone at your back you do what you have to, to keep someone else safe, Cherri felt like that and my heart absolutely broke for her, she had only one good thing in her life and it was threatened, I do feel anger at the rest of the MC. They don't always look beyond the now, for someone who has given their all to do something out of character, they should ask why not blame. Tense and at times painful to read, it contains abuse and violence.The best one yet. Lots of tension and suspense, some violence as well. Lots of hot and steamy sex and a really strong love build up. Great characters and plot.Enjoyable read, I personally would like a little more of the details for the building and planning, not have it all skipped over while the texting and smouldering looks thing goes on throughout. To much sex can be a bit boring in the end. The same with the villains and investigation we don't really get any of it until after it's all over, so the big suspenseful build up to the climax falls a bit flat. I loved the characters but in the end the sex was just a bit to over powering to the rest of the story, although Axe was at the clubhouse with the guys even Church was sort of a let down. I'm not a prude and love a bit of hot and steamy any day but balance by making more of the plot and details.

So hot, sweet, sexy seriously you need to read this.book 3Chas's Fervoroooh my goodness hot sweet,sexy,yummy,loving after what happened with his ex wife Chas isn't looking for anything long term or does all that change when he meets h8s sons teacher Ms Oleary Addis she's lusted after him from a far she's the librarian of tge school and wants to help Chas son Jack more.as time goes on and they get closer secrets come out hearted heartache and loss but love is hot will it turn out well for them? you must read to find out so hot sexy and loved it.Book 4Axe's FallAxe he never wanted an olady he just wanted a one night stand with the sexy one in tge gorgeous dress, now after that one night he can't get her out of his mind. plenty of hot sex and funBrianna also just after a one night stand, she's here for a job only nut then he walks back into her life they have fun hot sex could it lead to more , and will she remember who it was thst took her mother away from her at an early age but for some reason can't remember will she ever know and if she does find the truth will it destroy her or make her stronger and will Axe be the one she will want forever passion heat hot wicked sex.

I was reading about this series in a lot of readers' groups and after a while I decided to give it a shot. And, boy, did I do the right choice...It is an amazing MC series. It has all the elements I love - action, great and unique - for each story - plots, beautiful and fierce heroes and heroines. Each story has you sitting on the edge of your seat. I've read this box set - and the next - in 7 days (8 books in total) and I am definately going to purchase the rest books in the series. I love the way Chiah Wilder writes - this is the first time I've read something of hers, but it certainly won't be the last. 5 well-deserved stars from me.

There were occasions when I thought some of the plot was borrowed from 'Sons of Anarchy'. Like to give authors another try but this one is too juvenile. No depth to the characters. Too many people trying to jump on the MC genre bandwagon. There are far superior authors to choose from.

God all these stories were amazing although I think Addie and Chas’s story was my favourite. I recommend reading this if you love MC romances.

Alpha males, sassy females, hot sex, drama...fantastic set of books to start off the Insurgents MC series! I was hooked on each story from the beginning and couldn't put them down!!

Great collection from start to finish.
