Really versatile and so incredibly trim
I purchased these and the Geffen super absorbers since my 1.5 yo toddler needed a boost to her nighttime diaper. These worked, the Geffen super absorbers did not. As another reviewer suggested I cut these at the attached parts to get "six" inserts and that works really well for us. One of those 6 is super thin after cutting. They launder beautifully in our portable Haier washing machine, line dry (with no fan) within hours, and best of all add a much needed layer of absorbency for our nighttime solution.I recently had my 3rd baby and use these (in the Medium size) for him as well. I only ever have to use one and the prefold or flat goes from being soaked in the morning when I change the diaper to still having a little less than a quarter of the diaper still dry in the morning. Our bulletproof combinations for our cloth diapered babies are Geffen jersey prefolds padfolded+one of these Baby Kicks liners inside an Applecheeks cover. The 3 month old baby uses the Geffen size small prefold+this medium Baby Kicks liner. The 1.5 yo toddler uses the medium sized Geffen jersey prefold+one of this medium Baby Kicks liner. The little one is a heavy wetter compared to his sister the toddler. So I will sometimes add a hemp/organic cotton overnight insert from Best Bottoms in small for him as well. It also works well in the Blueberry Capri diaper covers or Best Bottom (pul) covers for us. I add the Best Bottoms bamboo stay dry insert on top for those since they don't have the stay dry microfleece the Applecheeks covers have. This combo has enabled both my cloth diapered babies to stay asleep comfortably for 10-12 hours each night with zero leaks. I will say with the Applecheeks covers you have to watch a couple of YT videos to get those to fit just right if not there will be leaks.I have found it is best to have the main diaper/prefold/flat against the baby's skin. Then add a thirsty absorbent layer (preferably a hemp blend) under that since hemp soaks slower but holds more, if that makes sense. If you are concerned about baby feeling the wetness and want them to be more comfortable then you can add a stay dry layer of microfleece or a stay dry insert on top of the main soaker.During the day my toddler uses the Green Mountain diapers' organic muslin flat pad-folded in a cover. I change those every 4 hours unless they are soiled, in which case immediately. Earlier today when I checked at the 3 hour mark to make sure they would be good for another hour, they were soaked. Perhaps she drank more water than usual during those 3 hours. I changed her and added one of these layers of Baby Kicks. We went grocery shopping and I didn't remember to check until five hours later. When I did, there was still a good one third of the diaper dry due to the absorbency of just one layer of this BabyKicks liner! Just make sure you prep/wash the liner enough to reach maximum absorbency.I prepped these by washing them on hot thrice with detergent without drying in between. I washed them with other laundry each time. Then another 3-5 times on hot with the rest of the dirty cd laundry. I think washing these and any cloth diapers with towels is the best. The roughness of the towels I have found really helps when they agitate and rub against these during the cycle to get them clean(er).Really grateful for this product!

Sizing varies, unfortunately.
Update: I bought another 3pack of the small's to use in my Fuzzibunz. What a disappointment! Once I boiled them (exactly as I had the others), they shrank in an odd fashion, as if cut off-seam. So they are now wider than even the mediums at the middle and have a "z" like shape. They, in short, suck: and are a pain to stuff. My husband who does more diaper changes than I prefers the thirsties in large. They seem to absorb more, which although a reviewer supposedly tested them and said the JoeyBunz were twice as absorbent, I am more apt to believe the commenter who thinks she got it backwards. Thirsties, per hub, last longer.I bought these to increase the absorbency of my Fuzzibunz Elite and not-so elite one-size pocket diapers. I have both the smalls and the mediums. I boiled them for about 10-20 minutes per recommendations to get rid of the oils (if this works as well as washing 5-6 times, why would I waste the time washing them? and the water? and the energy?). I never noticed a change in their absorbency power with subsequent wets, but I wasn't scientific about it.For fuzzibunz users: I use the mediums in the Elite diapers and fold over in the front about an inch to fit better (I have a boy, so he's a front wetter). The old-school non-Elite FBs I use the mediums and add the smalls on top, closest to his tush, to increase absorbency. We call these the "doublers". The Doublers last about 3-4 hours and are great when he's in the Baby Bjorn or other carrier, since with his legs spread about, he tends to leak in the single hemp insert only Elites after a few hours. The smalls are a PERFECT fit- length and width wise, once he was about 3 months. At 7 months they still fit the FBs much better than the mediums- which tend to bunch in the middle and thus not lay flat, and as above, are a tad too long. Now at 11 months I would say the mediums are fine alone, and with the smalls a bit bunched but not bad (see above about the bad batch we got).See above for the Thirsties right now. Since hubby prefers them, I will buy more thirsties (which just will take all day to dry- faster now in winter with the heat on) and make more doubled hemp inserts since they last longer than the singles. Why don't fuzzibunz and other pockets just come with HEMP inserts?Update: these have lasted through our 2nd cloth diaper child, who is over 2 and hopefully getting ready to potty train. A few have developed some holes in a layer but not all the way through. They seem to work great. With child 2 we started using fst and some Alva helps, so the new method has changed to one of these plus a thirsty hemp, one plus an fst (both excellent absorption wise), 2 joeys + 1 Alva hemp (pretty good), (or thirsty hemp + Alva). Very happy to have these in collection over the years. Don't know if they'd survive a 3rd kid. Wash w tide + borax, per fluff love university suggestions. Hot water. Plus dryer. They def are stiff if air dried.
