Porcelain Chocolate Owl 12 Oz Coffee Mug/cup for Our Owl Lovers

This very cute mug is lightweight porcelain and absolutely adorable! Unfortunately, due to porcelains high conductivity it also becomes very hot very quickly.Tea is my drink of choice, rather than coffee, and to the fellow tea drinkers out there I have a bit of advice. It is quicker to put water in the mug and pop it in the microwave to heat the tea quickly then add your herbs after and enjoy your drink, but with this particular cup I suggest going another route. Use a teapot or even heat the water in another cup if you want to use your microwave! The cup gets scorching hot in the nuker and will not be pleasant to touch! The cup will still get hotter than others with the steaming liquid inside even if poured in from another source, but it isn't too much of a problem!Aesthetically it meets expectations! Since it says it is hand painted I expected some variant from the picture but it looks the same and is very well done!It ships in a cute box and has bubble wrap around it (which is lucky for me since my FedEx deliverer tossed it on the ground in front of my door loud enough to think someone had dropped something decently heavy).All in all it gets 4/5 stars because I am a bit picky! It is a fantastic mug that has already gotten compliments!

The mug feels sturdy and the owl design features are well-defined but unfortunately not very ergonomic. Better for decoration than for daily use.

the size of this is perfect, not too big. I got one for my daughters birthday, and one for my own. we both love them. Its hand glazed, not stamped, and during firing there is a very slight running, blending and fogging of the earth tone glazes. It's not poor quality, It's a lovely kitchy mug that reminds one of the great 1970's california pottery era. its a nice sturdy mug with a non splash rim. there are a few small flaws from firing, but they are to be expected with this type of pottery. It arrived fast. its my morning mug now.

It's very cute but very small. I'm using it for a small cup of coffee with liquid creamer. It does not hold alot of liquid. It would be good for tea.

Very cute mug! I only have 4 stars since the beak has some brown on it that obviously is not supposed to be there, but it is nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews here! Seems hit or miss but my mug is well done!

Love this mug. I cannot really afford the top shelf majolica, so this is my consolation. It is slightly smaller than other mugs I have had in the past, but just right for a cup of afternoon tea. Love the face of the owl and the details all around the entire mug. There are others in this line that are all one solid color (blue, black, brown, etc.) I just like the color story on this one. It reminds me of some of the mugs and cups from the '70's.

La taza está muy hermosa, pero el envío lo hicieron en un sobre. Obviamente llegó rota. Voy a dar la oportunidad de nuevo y comprarla en cuanto termine la devolución y ojalá esta vez sean más cuidadosos con el embalaje
