Doesn't Keep Cold
I like the way it looks but it does not keep stuff cold any better than a plastic bottle. If it is insulated, it can't be much.

Leaks all the time
I bought these insulated bottles to keep some cold water at hand when on my long rides. They work great at insulation, almost too well. It takes a while for them to defreeze. My issue with these bottles is that they leak, every single time. I don't think I would have notice if it was just water, I would have assumed it was the condensation on the outside of the bottle. But, it isn't, it leaks.Instead of just water, I prepare water mixed in with a bit of Gatorade (nice pinkish color). It was then that I noticed pink liquid all over my bike (where the water was). I realized that it was the leaky water bottle. No matter how tight it still leaks. Both of them leak. It even leaks when upright in the freezer. I started noticing liquid residue in the freezer. So, yeah, it insulates, but leaks heavily. Maybe I have defective units.

Funny Taste, Older model Bottle Was Better
I bought this bottle because I purchased polar bottles in the past. They are strong and do an okay job of insulating cold water. These new ones I'm not sure about, when I bought and drank water from it it tasted funny. I could taste the plastic. I cleaned it and it still tasted a little funny. The bottle caps like to fail after about two years. My old 24 oz bottle, which had the nice rubber handle that sat perpendicular to the water bottle was much better than this new one. The handle on this thing isn't rubber, it feels like plastic. Polar has definitely took a direction in lower quality. I will say that the bottle cap never leaked, it just refuses to stay up. So I bought a new one because the product was good. Turns out Polar stands behind their product, if you need a new cap they will send you one for free. That's pretty cool.

Love Polar Bottles!
These bottles are perfect for bicycling... They definitely keep your drinks cool! Just beware if ordering the RED FADE bottle; it is more PINKish than it looks in the pictures... Not good for my 8-year old son :(

Ice cold water for long time
After reading some of the reviews this product seemed to be a good option. I had several other bottles before this one, some lasted a couple of months some only one time. I used to freeze them to get have some "cold" water on my daily rides. I used this one today for the first time, filled it with water and froze it, went on a ride for about one hour, 98 degrees and about 90% humidity (I live in Panama, the country). After half hour I was able to get only a few drops of water, after an hour only about a third was water, the rest was still ice. Like someone else wrote freeze half and fill the rest with cold water; it should go for about two hour with ice and maybe three with water still cold.

Turns water red and tastes bad
I did not like this water bottle, if you keep water in it for awhile it will it turn the water red and have a funny taste. Also there was a layer of film on the inside. My husband has the Camelback water bottle and he has no problem with it, so now I will have to buy one of those.

The Polar Bottled Fade Insulation Water Bottle turned out to be no better than the one I had
I purchased this to replace an aluminum bottle that was quite old and was, I thought, losing its insulation properties. The Polar Bottled Fade Insulation Water Bottle turned out to be no better than the one I had. At first I just tried to fill it with cold water or Power Aid but it didn't stay cold very long. Filling it and storing it in the refrigerator for several hours, it only stayed cold for 2 – 2 1/2 hours outdoors. Not even in full sun.I prefer something that could at least function up to 4 hours.

Highly recommended.
Hard to find bottle size for my bike configuration. In the photo you can see this one (20oz) and the smaller one (12oz) fit perfectly in the space that is constrained by the triangular bike pack. Polar Bottle makes a high quality product. Highly recommended.
