Works great on my Hot Rod Deluxe- makes it perform like a junior
I purchased the metal box version, and plugged it in- proir to a working gig at a local club where evryone else uses 15- 18 watt amps such as the Fender Blues Junior. For about the equivalent output I put the master volume on a clean channel on 10 and adjusted my tones, and I adjusted the box at about 50%. ( I made a midpoint marking using a circular label and then aproximated quarter points and zero and max). Took it to the gig, once I started to play it on stage I had to tweak it to about 60%- but my amp sounded good with a nice solid bottom and not muddy as described by another purchaser. I was extremely delighted- I was ready to purchase a Jr. for $375 which was a very good deal but now I do not have have to spend the money-0 I should mention that I had a Emenence Neo Dymium speak 12"- which is super light and super clean- Well worth the $30-compared it side by side to a junior and princton reverb- much fuller sound even when hot rod deluxe was attenuated- do not use onboard effects overdrive- chorus OK(they suck anyhow), use regular stomp boxes as in a regular guitar to amp set up

One Star
Didn't work at all on any of my amps I tried it on.

Glad it was only $20
It does lower the volume, buts it also drained the treble from the tone.

the box that you see in the picture is a square little thing like a tap tempo which is NOT what you're gonna ...
I got the product in a quick amount of time and it does what I need it to do. Here are my concerns... First, the box that you see in the picture is a square little thing like a tap tempo which is NOT what you're gonna get. You get a longer rectangle shape pedal, I was disappoint with this cause I was really looking forward to buying because of it size and how compact and discreet it was. Second, ANY knowledgeable guitar pedal builder knows that the screws go point at the floor, no one wants to look at screw on your pedal. All the holes where cut on what is the bottom plate, this makes the product look like is was cheaply made and by someone who doesn't really care about excellence. The only reason I haven't returned it is because it does what I want it to do, I'm gonna either build one myself or look for one with a smaller footprint and better executed design. Again, I'm giving it a 3 star rating because the description and picture do not match what I received (my friend got the same thing 2 weeks later and he had the exact same problem). The pedal works great though.

Good product
Very simple but strong and efficient, good postage by amazon.I use it at the output of Marshall 50 anniv 1W heads. I plug the output 0.1W in the return of a mesa mini recto loop.

Works Exactly As Described
The price is good and it's easy to set-up. I bought 2 to use on two different 100 watt tube amps. The description is very detailed and accurate and my expectations are met. It arrived very promptly and quality appears to be very durable. It took a while to dial-in the sounds I wanted on my amps but now that they are set it seems to be a great product.

This IS NOT an attenuator/power soak.
All it is is a pot in a box so you can adjust your preamps volume in the fx loop before it hits the power amp. If you try and put this between a cab and amplifier like an attenuator or power soak YOU WILL DAMAGE YOUR AMP NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. Save the 25 bucks for a real one if you really need an attenuator, we all know what you really need though is just a practice amp.The seller should be forced to change the item title as people could potentially ruin expensive equipment if they are mislead by it.

Not Worth the Money
Yes, it helps, but if you really want to tame the beast of amp for bedroom play, then just pony up the Cash for an attenuators as this does monkey with your tone.
