Out stove had an old microwave above it that did not work. I wanted something to vent the food smell from the kitchen to outside. My husband installed a fotile vent hood above the stove. This is the piece that vents the kitchen smell to the outside.

Solid product. Glad this was available for a decent price. Not many 7" options. First time installing vent, i was able to cut down the tube to the desired length and fit it to 7" duct. Flap opens when there is airflow and closes when there isnt.

Does the job as well as any. Paint to your liking. Be aware of how long a neck you need to attach your interior piping / vent material to effectively connect this item.

It is a well made vent. The design and workmanship are excellent. I used it for the kitchen exhaust fan. No problem with the installation. There is no noise on the damper when it is windy.
