We have been buying this brand for years.The best I can find for quality and taste!They make my pasta and anchovies dish perfecto!

I have purchased these anchovies 5 times in the past. The first four were exceptional . The last jar i received contained olive oil and some brown mush. There was not one single whole anchovie in the jar. I called Amazon to complain and to see what I needed to do to get a replacement or refund. They simply stated that they were not eligible for return since they were food. I spent several days trying to locate a way to reach the company. When I finally reached the distributor they were of no help.You will be taking a chance if you purchase this product and if you have a problem you are on your own.

I am an anchovy lover. This is the best way to buy them. The tins often leak. These don't. Remember to keep refrigerated even before opening

Excellent product , 4 stars due to much oil ,usually this product come tight in jars even this brand in smaller presentations, anyway , the fillets are Excellent in crackers ( preferably cuban crackers , are more dense ) pizzas , pasta

These anchovies are Italy's finest They have a wonderful flavor and the jar is easy to use. The jar also reseals in the flavor and keeps them fresh.Waa' Waa'!! It's the physics of the design of the jar that renders it vulnerable to barometric pressure (bp). During packing, if the jar was closed when the bp was high and during shipping the bp fell/lowerd, it easily could suck out oil. These are on cargo ships from Italy. Consider a cargo ship is 300 meters long. A stowed shipping container in the bow or stern of the ship will be approximately 140 meters from center of rotation. A pitching angle of 3° makes the shipping container move up to 30 meters for every pitching oscillation. From the horizon the container will rise 7.5 meters, lower 15 meters then, finally rise to 7.5 meters. Pressures on cargo will rise and fall inside the container during the upward and downward motion. Please don't kill the golden goose. It is what it is. If you can't handle wiping off oil some of the time, then please don't buy this product and end up writing bad reviews just because you had to wipe off oil!

I was really impressed with how well packaged the product was as I’d read several reviews indicating poor packaging. These arrived in their own box, double wrapped in bubble wrap. The jar itself was well sealed, and I appreciate the plastic insert which allows me to push the anchovies down into the oil as I use them. The anchovies are very good, well used in my home made Caesar salad dressing.

Disappointing because they left a sharp taste in my mouth. unexpected them to be quite mild. I have had much better luck with grocery store small cans.I will definitely buy another, perhaps the ones I got were not stored properly.
