Damsels in Distress
Should have been the name of this series. Every LF in these stories had something/someone out to do them harm I feel very sorry for Gabriella because she was a victim in this story and the last one. So not fair. Out of all these women she was the least strongest. Most of the others were pretty tough. LM in this story was pushy and a bully, but sort of funny. Enjoyed the entire series. This makes 2 series I’ve read by Mrs Bybee and I have a few more to read. She tells a good story

Fitting ending to this series. I wish I could give it ten stars!
Treasured by Thursday is book seven in the Weekday Bride series by Catherine Bybee. It is the final day of the week in this particular series. I am terribly sorry to see it ending; however, you never know what Catherine Bybee will come up with next. I am just waiting.Gabrielle Masini had come to California to work for Alliance and Samantha Harrison after her harrowing experience with her husband, Alonzo Picano. Alonzo was dead and Gabi preferred to be known by her maiden name. Samantha called her to have her investigate a possible new client but she would have to handle him herself as Samantha’s sister Jordan was in the hospital and was quite ill. Gabi knew the steps to go through in interviewing a possible client. This one, however, she was giving a second chance to and actually interviewing simply because he was a friend of Samantha’s husband, Duke Blake Harrison. However, at the interview, she quickly made up her mind about Hunter when she asked him a few questions. She turned his business away.Hunter Blackwell was a self-made billionaire and was not use to being told no. He wasn’t going to take no for an answer. He set his PI to find all he could about Gabi, overnight of course. Hunter desperately needed a wife for a year and wasn’t going to let it go. The next day, he made arrangements with Gabi’s driving service for a limo to pick him up first and then to pick up Gabi since they were going to the same affair. Gabi didn’t notice anything until she got in the car. Hunter then set out to blackmail Gabi into marrying him. He wanted the contract the next morning. Gabi was going to refuse; but he told her the insurance policy she had been paid was paid fraudulently. There was a clause that dealt with assisted death and she had been the one to tell the doctors to unplug the machines from Alonzo. Then there were the two offshore checking accounts Alonzo had set up for her. It made her look really guilty. What she didn’t know then was the accounts were being used by someone else. That evening, she took the Alliance contract and added some inclusions of her own. The company lawyer went over them and although she didn’t like it, had to approve it. After Hunter made some inclusions of his own, the contract was signed and a couple of days later, Gabi became Mrs. Hunter Blackwell. What would Gabi’s friends and family think of her marrying Hunter Blackwell? Could she think of a reasonable explanation? Why was Hunter so intent on getting a wife? He has his secrets and she has hers.I think this is probably one of the best novels in this series. I liked the others; but this one goes the extra mile.

So glad I’m finished with this series
Good book. Wasn’t crazy about the ending. Needed a few more details to wrap up the drug dealers and who the mask men were. I’m tired of damsels in distress and drug dealers and mean criminals. I’m glad Gabi got her happily ever.

Terrific series!
I love this author. She has such a way of drawing you in to the characters with their personalities. She has great snarky lines, drama, friendship, family & passion. I have a hard time putting her books down. Great Reads!

blackmail secrets and happy endings
Gabi is working for an elite marriage service and trying to recover from a marriage that nearly ended in her death. Her life is complicated enough before Hunter blackmails her into marrying him. He has reasons for doing this but doesn’t reveal them to Gabi.Everything seems to be against them in any kind of a personal relationship. They both deserves to have a happy ending. I thought this was exciting and different from a lot of fake relationship books I have read.

Nice Read!
In ‘Treasured Thursday’ we meet Gabriella Masini, a woman who’s life hasn’t been going as planned. Gabriella has lost a lot in life and now she just wants to do her job the best she can. Although Gabriella doesn’t believe in fairy tales anymore, she works at Alliance, an elite matchmaking office. Gabriella is great in her job, but one client changes everything.Hunter Blackwell is a rich guy who is used to getting his way. Now he has a strange proposition for Gabriella, one she can’t refuse and that will change both their lives forever. From the beginning I definitely enjoyed this book. It’s written in a way you can read it without feeling like you have to concentrate very hard. The characters are fun to get to know and you can almost feel the tension and attraction between the two of them. I just love books in which the characters come from disliking each other, to slowly getting more and more interested in one another. It really has a fairy tale kind of feeling to it. And this book fits the bill perfectly. This book is a perfect book to read on a holiday if you ask me. I could easily picture myself lying in the sun with this book and a cold drink in my hand. The character I liked the most was definitely Hunter. I just loved how I first thought of him like an arrogant ass who didn’t care about anything other than himself, but throughout the book I really began to love him.Since I haven’t read any other books in The Weekday Brides series, I did feel like I didn’t understand everything about the characters like I would when I had read the other books. It wasn’t something that bothered me so much that I didn’t like this book, but I would prefer to have read the other books first. This is definitely a nice read and I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

Threats from beyond the grave!
Aww, the end of the thoroughly enjoyable Weekday Brides series has arrived and I’m sad to have reached its conclusion. Each story has been amazing and I've completely fallen in love with all the characters that I’ve met along the way.Treasured by Thursday is written almost as if it is part two of the preceding instalment, Seduced by Sunday, as poor Gabriella Masini realises that her problems did not end with her husband’s death. When billionaire Hunter Blackwell approaches Alliance it’s with an ulterior motive. When he meets with Gabi as part of his assessment to become an Alliance client, he is stunned when this feisty woman rejects his application. Knowing that he has to do everything he can to secure a bride, and fast, he does his own background check on Gabi and finds one or two useful things hiding in Gabi’s closet. With blackmail his last resort and a large sum of money on offer, Hunter forces Gabi’s hand and she begrudgingly accepts his request and takes him on as a client, and a husband. Not wanting to ask for her family’s help to sort out her problems once again, Gabi realises that she must meet Hunter’s demands in order to find the time to discover a way out of what appears to be certain prison time for her. With a cleverly constructed contract in her hand, Gabi accepts Hunter’s proposal and despite the many problems they could face if the marriage falls apart, the pair get married. Hunter is unaware of Gabi’s marital past but soon starts to see the signs of her fragile state of mind as she becomes unravelled at the drop of a hat. Gabi is determined to move on with her life with ex-husband Alonso dead and buried but her emotional wellbeing is still being affected by the demons he firmly placed inside her mind. With active off-shore accounts needing to be investigated and an insurance policy which appears to have been fraudulently claimed following Alonso’s death, poor Gabi’s problems seen to be spiralling out of control once again.Despite the terms of their marriage, both Hunter and Gabi quickly come to realise that they may have misjudged each other and they soon start to enjoy one another’s company. With time they become intimately involved and knowing that this could further complicate their agreement, they start to open up to one another about what was really behind their reasons to marry. With Hunter’s private investigator unearthing more problems than Hunter and Gabi could ever imagine, their problems quickly come to a head as the drug lord that Alonso Picano worked for comes to reclaim his money. As expected, Gabi’s friends and their husbands quickly come to her aid but soon realise that they are dealing with a very serious threat to Gabi’s life. This was once again an extremely well-written and well thoughtout suspenseful storyline. I will miss each and every character from this series and I am sure that I will dip back into these books in the future. The audiobooks were particularly enjoyable and a particular highlight for me. Tanya Eby did an amazing job of narrating this series and brought the characters to life perfectly.Catherine Bybee is definitely my 2019 author find of the year.

Review
Good story and keeps you interested from start to end. This book is part of a series and I like how the author keeps bringing back her characters from previous books.
