I love big knives, this one is great.

Definitely fair quality. But the edge is ok. It will cut but far from an edge i would expect on this price tag.

Overall good knife. Despite its size it's very lively. Very blade heavy balance. The handle is a bit small for my liking. If I could take the handle off the outback bowie and put it with this blade it would almost perfect the knife.

The Down Under Knives Mistress Bowie Knife is the one that I've been Waiting for!! I ordered it from an awesome Ebay Seller who goes by zombieknifeandgear! He was fantastic and had my knife Shipped to me the very night that I bought it. I use Ebay and PayPal because of their great Pay After Delivery option, which I find that option to be Wonderful. And it really helps out the Buyer and I think it weeds out those Sellers that try and rip people off!! Anyway, back to the knife. It is just plain stunningly beautiful, superb quality and design, and one big badass bold knife as well!! I got the Outback Bowie knife from Down Under Knives but I just didn't care for the single curved guard. It really digs into your hand if you have those big working hands like me. And the handle on it is just way too short and skinny. I got the Down Under Toothpick knife which was so disappointing because it cane with absolutely No Edge. Normally I like that because I do love putting my own edge on the knives I buy. But near the edge on the Toothpick knife was soo thick and unfinished. I got the knife edged but no matter what I did, I just could not get the razor sharp edge on it that I like. The Outback Bowie and my new Mistress knife both came with sharp edges. When a knife comes already edged, even though it is a dull one, at least it is workable. And I can usually get my preferred super sharp edge on those knives. This new Down Under Mistress Bowie Knife has it All!! Looks, feel, design, mass, heftiness, and is just plain downright Intimidating!! I love this knife so much that I will be buying a 2nd one in the future!!! Plus, Bryan who owns and runs the Ebay shop, Zombieknifeandgear, made this purchase one very pleasant, laid back enjoying purchases I have had in a long time!! Thank you, Bryan!!!!!!

Overall the look of this knife is sterling. It feels good in the hand because of its heft. The brass accents I’m going to polish which will greatly improve its appearance. The knife was not very sharp which was disappointing. However, I certainly can deal with that. For the money its just a tad overpriced. Polish the brass, put a great edge on the blade and I’d rate this 5 stars. I would recommend this knife, but suggest looking for a lower price. All that being said I did not consider returning it. It just looks way cool. Cheers! Update: Problem! The sheath is unusable. The knife goes in the sheath less than half way. Now I’m beginning to think this is a knock off. I’ll do more research. It may be going back. Cheers!
