Wow! it's like having a new boat.
Excellent addition to my boat. It is quite easy to install. On my old Mercury outboard, I had to remove the trim tab, slide the hydrofoil on, replace the trim tab and tighten down two screws on the side of the hydrofoil. The difference was noticeable almost instantly. The boat pops right out of the water when you accelerate. There is virtually no rise in the bow as you get up to speed. I've tried it both pulling a tube and without. In both situations the boat's performance was excellent.Three cautions:1. make sure that it is perfectly straight. It's easy to have it off just a bit. It took me a couple times of adjusting the set screws before I got it right.2. Watch the set screws on the side. They need to be really tight. I didn't tighten them enough at first and then had the problem of the foil being off center by the end of the outing.3. Since putting the foil on, the boat pulls to the right. My guess is that I need to adjust the trim, but because I don't have power trim, that's a hassle and I haven't done it yet. It's not enough of a problem make me tinker with it or change my mind about the product, but I do have to keep a hand solidly on the wheel (something you should do anyway).I can't speak to the fuel savings. I don't keep close enough track on my fuel to notice any change. But the product is well worth it even if there isn't any fuel savings. It's hands down the simplest (and most noticeable) improvement I've made to my boat.

Don’t waste your money on this product if you intend to do “no drill installation”
I gave the product a 3⭐️ For ease of install, could of been a five star but I don’t think most folks will have an inch lb torque wrench or red picture, I happen to so it was still easy.I gave it a 3⭐️ For sturdiness, which if I drilled for the install I think it would be a long lasting productIt did work nicely as others suggested, until of course it fell off. It was torqued and loctited to specs, yet last less than two days. $100 down the crapperIf you intend on drilling into your cavitation plate give it a whirl, if your going to “no drill install” stop right now and send 10 people you know $10 each and make a bunch of people happy rather then wasting it on a few mins of pleasure

works great made in USA
This product was extremely easy to put on. It helped the boat to get on plane faster. Not a lot but defiantly better. Also the boat remains on plane with less power. That's going to save gas and wear on the outboard. This is well worth the money I am happy with the product. This is also made in the USA. Lifetime warranty.

Buy two, the first one will fall off.
First, the good: it does work. My 21 foot stern drive open bow Hurrincane got onto plane quicker with this installed. Now the bad.....you are going to want to use the install method that does not drill through your stern drive. You will think "yeah, this will work, it looks pretty stout". Your are wrong, and it will fall off. Now, since you took my advice and bought two, you can now bust out your drill and install the second one the right way and bolt it through your sterndrive. This is what I had to do after the first one disappeared in the lake. Read the other reviews and see just how many people lost theirs with the "no holes" installation.

Not a direct fit.
Fits on a 2020 Mercury 115hp 4 stroke outboard . Will require some modification.*** Cover your prop shaft. Metal shavings will enter the lower unit. ***1) Will not fit directly out of the box . The hole on the bottom will not go over the small fin. You will cut the lower fin to slide over the metal fin on the motor. I used an aluminum bar to mate over the cut . Will not affect performance it's too thin.2) The top will not fit over the lower end hump. Some cutting/notching of the top plastic.3) Cannot use a cordless drill to drill the 2 mounting holes. Propeller must be removed unless you have a 90 degree drill with a short 1/4" drill bit.Screw heads are mounted from the bottom . Nuts on top . Used metal bar from Ace Hardware to mate the lower piece together. Had this on a 2002 Glastron SX170 with 90hp Johnson .

I want my money back as I no longer have the worthless piece of crap
This product is a piece of crap. I installed it on my outboard motor. After checking all of the attaching screws and having a mechanic check behind me to make sure everything was done correctly and tight. The fin came off and was lost after a couple of uses. It scared my new engine now all I have is scratches and am out the cost. Somebody should refund my money. Use caution with this product a easy of money.

Don’t buy unless you do the drill on method.
Well it worked great while it stayed on. Thought for sure it would stay on because it was so snug used my impact to do the set screws. But sure enough like everyone said before it came off. Unless you plan on doing the drill method I don’t advise getting this product. If you do worked great while it was on and did as advertised.
