Absolutely Works!
I've got to say this tape is absolutely phenomenal! I first purchase this in 2016 to use on my bass boat vinyl seats to cover some cracking and large tears. I literally do not know how this stuff is as good as it is, but it's been almost 10 years and the tape I applied in 2016 is still stuck firm, no water leaking, no cracks, no yellowing from sun exposed, and it's still soft and stretchy. It truly is the best I've ever seen, incredible. 300% can recommend for repairing boat seats! Amazing.

This is unlike any other tape
I've tried lots of tapes to repair my Vinyl hottub cover. This is simply unmatched. It stays stuck down. It's slightly stretchy so it adapts to tugging. And it has a clear matt finish so it's not glossy. It almost disappears like magic transparent tape does. Not quite but much more than shiny tapes do. The next best tape for repairing vinyl is the 3M patch tape. That stuff costs about 1/10th as much as this. But it is not even close to this in the quality of the repair or durability. The main four features that are totally worth your money are:1) the glue does not get gooey in the sun. If you already tried Duct tape you know what I mean and are regretting it and reading this review.2) it does not loosen when it gets wet. If you already tried packing tape or the 3M patch tape you know what I mean and are reading this review3) it stays stuck and is flexible so when the reapired item flexes (it is vinyl) it does not peel up.4) it's very very tenaciously bonded yet quite strong and durable material. No other tape I know of has those properties. Now if you are going to have huge sheer forces on this it might stretch too much. But other than that thus is simply an unmatched wonder product and totally worth it's price.I balked a buying it the first time around and tired everything else that was much cheaper.THe only problem I had with it was that once you pull the backing up this stuff is really thin and flexible, you can get it stuck to itself really quickly and have to start over. it sticks way too well to itself to unpeel it.

good, not great
When the area is cleaned it is ready to have the patch material applied. Did this on both sides of the holes in the pool cover and it seems to have adhered firmly. Test will come next Spring to determine if the patches have held up over the winter. It is now next Spring and most of the patches have held very well, a few have "buckled", and one or two have loose edges. Sure, it may have been poor attachment from the start, but it didn't seem that way last Spring when all patches were applied. Have ordered more material and will try again (plus one new hole).

This Tape Works Really Well
I was skeptical this tape would hold up on an inflatable kayak we own (I tried some clear/waterproof duct tape before that did NOT work). I was really surprised at how easy it was to repair the hole in the boat. As I blew it up, you could see the tape stretch/adjust to fit the shape of the boat. And here's the best part - I knew I needed to patch a pretty good puncture hole (caused by a fish hook) and I brought the patch kit with us camping. There was actually another hole on the underside of the boat, which I was also able to fix with this same kit (no extra cost). My kids paddled around in the kayak for a couple of days on the lake and it never lost any air. I would highly recommend this stuff, especially for the price.

It sort of works, in a disappointing way
It works..... sort of. Really depends on what you’re using it for. It wasn’t nearly as sticky as I had hoped. I used it to close up a few tears on my convertible top (Mazda Miata) and... it mostly keeps the water out. After waiting 36 hours it still wasn’t sealed on very well, so I took a hair dryer to it in an effort to get it to stick better. No dice. It works well enough for my purposes, which is to keep the tears more or less closed off to the elements. I have the top down 99% of the time so it’s really just for emergencies and car washes. It just doesn’t work that well, I wouldn’t recommend it for any serious use.

Ok, this is the stuff
Due to an ongoing war between the nighttime varmint and I, I am frequently reassessing the fate of the swimming pool. In previous years I'd ride my luck, then throw it way after the night on which I lost. And eventually buy a new pool next year. Not this year though. The varmints struck on the first night of the new (and perfect pool). Instead of giving up, I ordered this tear repair. It works perfectly. Its a bit easier to apply than duct tape, and seems to hold well. The only patch that's leaked was my first that had a wrinkle that went over both a hole and the edge. In that case I was able to peal the old patch off and put a new one on that worked fine. I rather suspect I could have reused the old patch, but I didn't think of it at the time. The critters have mistaken the pool for chewing gum again, and I've run out! Though the pool has patches everywhere, you can't see them from a distance, especially not with all the squealing kids running around!Maybe I'll just take up new repair kits every year, and save the same old pool!

Great so far
I bought this tape as well as the sister product "A" to repair a rip in a pop up tent. The rip was about a foot long and right at the seam where the fabric, screen and vinyl window all came together right by the door. Now, one of these tapes is for vinyl and the other is for everything else so the problem was how to make them work in this situation. I managed to do it by overlapping the tape that works on everything else onto the tape that works on vinyl. As I'm writing this, I don't know which is which. What I do know is it has held and repaired a foot long tear. Because the tape is clear, it is not as ugly as it could be. It's not invisible, but it does the job in a apot that I thought would be impossible to fix. I'm very, very pleased with this product. Because it stretches once it is applied, it is holding and I believe it will hold for some time to come.
