Replaced 27.5mfd capacitor w this 30
Needed to replace a 27.5mfd capacitor in a rush and couldn’t find the same item. I used this to get my air compressor back in service. Fit well and motors fired right up after blown capacitor didn’t have the juice to start compressor. FYI: you can replace a capacitor with a higher mfd but not lower than it calls for. Also most capacitors have a +\- rating of microfarad value allowing some leeway in size. Cost was great and replacement saved the work day.

Perfect match for Emerson 2HP pool pump motor.
Emerson 2HP pool pump motor stopped working. Ordered one of these to match the old one. Arrived next day and fitted in less than 10 minutes and pool pump up started immediately after I turned power back on. I am not a technical expert but if you have a newer pump motor than stops working this could be the solution and its an easy DIY project.

Doesn't actually fit..but it works great
Purchased for my shop fan .. Even though I put the model number and details...I was still sent something much larger than required...it works great..only complaint is the size is wrong

Excellent
Measure the capacitor you are replacing for size before ordering. This one fit my motor and works perfectly

I received item overnight and it took less than 5 minutes to install.
My main pool pump motor was humming when I went to start it but it would not run. I isolated the breaker to the pump prior to troubleshooting the issue. I confirmed that the pump impeller was freely turning by hand and determined I either had a bad start capacitor or a bad motor. The start capacitor being the most likely culprit and the cheapest most accessible part to replace, I proceeded to remove the start capacitor. There were two screws that held the capacitor cover in place and also two wires that attached to the terminals on the capacitor. I used insulated needle nose pliers and an insulated screw driver while removing the capacitor. The capacitor is like a battery and may be holding a charge so do not touch the set of terminals with your bare hands or non insulated tools. After removing the capacitor simply lay it down and use your insulated screw driver to make contact across the set of terminals on the capacitor to safely discharge any energy that may be stored in the capacitor. With the capacitor discharged it is now safe to handle. Record any make and model #’s along with the length and circumference of the capacitor, with this information you can quickly cross reference this information in a Amazon search to find the proper capacitor for your application, most parts can be shipped Amazon Prime next day. After verification that you received the correct capacitor reinstall the two wires on top of the capacitor (the wires are interchangeable so it doesn’t matter which wire is connected to each terminal / 1 per side), reinstall cover with 2 screws. Turn on the breaker to the pump and start your pump at the local switch. The total cost was $13.00 delivered to my door. If you are not confident that you can make this repair then hire a professional pool technician their charge for this job will be between $125 - $150.
