These are great for rag quilts!! The fabric is nice and thick. They DO shed a lot at the edges but this is perfect for rustic style quilts and crafts. I've bought these multiple times and I love them. There are about 42 squares in each pack, sometimes a few more. Great varieties of colors and patterns in each pack but they ARE categorized by color in each pack. Oranges , blues,reds, etc

I got these to make very rustic Christmas ornaments and they turned out beautifully. The colors are very nice and the fabric is very thick. I had a hard time fraying the edges but I believe that would be a great thing. I have never made a quilt before but would love to make the frayed quilt in the photo with the info about these squares. I would definitely recommend and will hopefully be purchasing them again when I get the nerve to try and make a quilt.
