Where's the Llama?: An Around-the-World Adventure

This book is fun and challenging, but not too challenging. The pictures are very detailed. My 4 year old and I have spent hours searching for the llamas and then speculating on what exactly is happening around them. The only thing I would change about this book is a list of the llamas with their pictures on every page. The llamas are only listed once at the beginning of the book and one must flip back to that page through the course of the book to see the llamas again. This small annoyance seems to bother only me; the 4 year old in my life thinks this book is perfect!

I bought this for my godson (who is 3) because it looked cute and he loves llamas. He can't read yet, so the short paragraphs about the different places aren't much use to him now, but he loves the book tremendously. He's always thumbing through and pointing out the llamas he likes.The "Where's Waldo" idea incorporating llamas is so cute! It challenges his mind, and will help introduce him to new cultures.I even enjoyed looking at it before I gifted it to him.

My son loves these type of books but we were only a few pages in when we ran into a page that was misprinted. There should be six lamas to find on each page and we searched high and low for the last 2 on one if the pages- couldn’t find them. Turns out the reason we couldn’t find them was because they forgot to print those 2 lamas on the page. I checked the answer key in the back and looked where these lamas were supposed to be- but they’re not there. Not sure if the rest of the book has errors too because we stopped reading it after being frustrated. Disappointed.

Our 7 year old loves this book. He saw it in school and wouldn’t stop talking about it. It’s not just a one time seek and find. There are other challenges in the back of the book. Mom to I to it too. Fun!

Love the art and style, but the pictures are enlarged and many of the items that are hidden don’t make it on the page. The answer key pics have the full picture, but the regular search and find is only 80% of the picture.

Great book! 10/10! The llamas appear in different parts of the world on every page as advertised! Great for a long trip!

My six-year-old and nine-year-old both love this book. They enjoy looking together for the characters in each scene (for siblings that are usually arguing, this is a miracle!). The llamas and cacti friends all have names, which adds a lot to the search because the kids have fun identifying the individual characters: rather than the usual "Find Ten Fish" search-and-find books, they are on the lookout for the individual llamas and cacti by name and identifying features.I don't know about the review regarding misprints, but right off the bat it was tough to find the last cactus because it was printed in the center binding fold and we didn't see it until we looked in the answer key. We laughed it off and went on to the next scene. No biggie. This is a thoroughly enjoyable book for kids who like search-and-find books.

Make a kids day and help find llamas

My granddaughter loves search books and was very excited to get this one, but struggled with finding the llamas at The Skatepark (page 13). I also tried, and then resorted to the answers. Oops, part of the page has been cut off - including two llamas! (see photos) I haven't properly checked the rest of the book, but if it is a present for Christmas check carefully before wrapping.I could just be unlucky, or a whole batch of books could be the same. If the page hadn't been badly cut it would have been 5 stars from me.

on one of the pages the illustration has been cropped so that two of the llamas are missing! a little frustrating for my 9 year old who really didn't want to cheat by checking the answer pages at the back of the book!

I love this it is great fun and keeps me busy. When I have found the llamas in the back it gives you extra things to look for in the images.
