Xtreme Chain Lube (4-Ounce)

This is some really good stuff. At first, I was somewhat discouraged, as it is a very low viscosity oil, that drips off the chain when applying. However it does a great job as far as not collecting debris. I clean my group set every other ride, and this lube has made it a breeze to clean, as little to no road debris accumulates in the gearings. Not sure how it does on long distances over 100 miles - it did hold up fine in several rain rides, but again, I clean and reapply every other ride. If you're someone that wants to lube the chain once a month, this is not for you. If you're a clean freak and hate the "black chain color", this is perfect for you. I've been through three bottles already and will never buy anything else.

This is my favorite non-wax lube. It goes only very wet and the consistency is that of a solvent. I over apply this to both sides of a chain, shift thru all the gears, then wipe down the chain, remove the rear wheel and clean each cog and between each cog, and then wipe down the chain once more. It’s more work but less messy and less of a cost then using a drivetrain cleaning kit. However, it replaces it nicely for all but the dirtiest of drivetrains.

Excellent chain lube, good for winter riding and summer, the penetration into the chain bonds to the metal with no buildup like a wax chain lube

5 Stars for the chain lube itself. I have been using Pro Gold Chain Lube for over 15 years and have found it to be the best for my riding conditions- Dry East Coast trails. I stay away from the mud and rain. Took one star away from the packaging as it needs to be sealed in a plastic bag as it leaks out and the paper shipping envelops looks grease stained like a cardboard pizza box. Might want to buy local to avoid the mess.

The absolute best chain lube. Easy to apply, doesn't gunk up and stays on for multiple rides.

I love this lube! In this long, dry, brutally dusty summer, this ProGold Extreme has kept our MTB chains quiet, clean, and working well. It doesn't attract grime like our prior lubes and cleans up super easy with Park Tool's Chainbrite cleaner. We used to ride 2 weeks max before needing to clean the drivetrain. With ProGold, we rode 6 weeks and didn't NEED to clean, but figured it was time to double check. The cassette cleaned easily and the chain looks brilliant. This is great stuff. 👍👍👍

In my experience, this stuff is better than Squirt and White lightning. Easy to apply. I ride in dry, dusty Southern California. I’m climber cross country mountain biker. This lube held up for near 5-hour ride on thirty trails. White Lightning was done after above 2.5 hours, and I’d reapply on the trail. Squirt was good for about 3.5 hours.

Buyer beware. Great chain lube for dusty SW trails that I've used for many years. However, this one came in what is obviously a repackaged container which may or may not contain Progold Xtreme. Not worth risking it since it's widely available elsewhere. Returned it. Hopefully I'll get a refund.
