ESSENTIAL ARABIC VOCABULARY

Good book, poor printing and paper. Mostly vocalised, except for the obvious vowels. Arranged by topic. Full of interesting quotes and proverbs from the Arabs. A useful addition to the shelf of any student of Arabic.

The idea is great the format to present this idea is horrendous, namely the small print ! Unless you speak Arabic you cannot simply even with magnifying glass distinguish between the diacritics printed!! Really bad presentation. The book should be much bigger size to allow the text to be readable. There's plenty of puzzling issues for which I have not space here such as presenting a Jewish road sign from Israel with its main Jewish text and only at bottom Arabic - have the Arabs run out of examples on their roads? To much information crammed into small space without sufficient connections. Some secondary text repeats itself even on opposing pages etc.Generally about the book, Good idea and intention but poor realization - in desperate need of revision of the whole project, in my opinion.

Very good. Handy for quick reference. Some good tips too.

A well planned book with clear explanations and script. Very pleased.
