Can I plug the usb into my tv or does it have to be a usb wall socket?

Although it states in the manual that it must be powered from a wall power adapter, I use two of these connected to Amazon Firesticks, one on a Panasonic TV and the other on a Toshiba TV and both are being powered from the USB ports on the respective TVs. I've had zero issues running in this configuration.

Will this work with a Roku Express 4K?

Does it work with 4k max and fire cube gen 2 ?

Yes it does. I am using it with 4K Max. It should also work with FC gen 2 without any issues.

Is there a version of this that let's me plug in a USB like a hub?

Yes I'm sure you can. I can't remember the brand but I'm certain I've seen one.
