Tips to successfully germinate plant seeds by using GardenStation24 cross-slit foam These foam cubes are the most popular grow medium in the professional plant factory for its proper density to absorb moisture easily, and at very inexpensive cost. 1) Prepare a shallow tray (2 to 3" deep), a vented cover, and a tweezer. 2) Put an entire foam sheet in the tray. Keep the foam sheet dry and do not separate the foam sheet at this time yet. 3) Use tweezer to place 3 seeds in each foam cube, where cross slit opens, about 1/4 inches deep from the top. 4) Pour tap water in the tray about 1/4 inches in depth. 4) Press the foam sheet up and down in the tray to get fully soaked. 5) Separate the foam sheet to individual foam cubes. Very important, to keep the side of the cross slit facing up, so the seeds get roots downward, stem and leaves upward. 6) Put the vented cover on top of the tray, and store in the dark. 7) Use water sprayer to spray mist on top of the foam every day. The seeds will germinate in a few days. 8) When seeds get 2 leaves on top and roots come out of the foam beneath, it's the time to transplant it to AeroGarden. 9) Use tweezer to carefully place the foam with seedling to the very end/bottom of the basket. 10) Place it in the opening of the AeroGarden's grow deck.
