This is the best tool I have purchased this year.
I restore cars professionally and needed this tool to rebuild the suspension on an early eighties Mercedes. It was easy to use and remove once the spring was installed. I am very impressed with the design, engineering and rigidity of this tool. A great value.

Worked Great For My Subaru
I am VERY happy with this strut compressor. Used it on the front and rear struts on my 2000 Impreza. Just select the "jaws" that fit the spring the best, and install the hex-screws so they stay put in the compression tool. I use a 3/8" impact to compress the strut, and it worked fine. I removed the struts from the car to use this.Even if you can only fit the jaws on two coils beside each other, it still compresses enough to remove the top strut mount. Even handing the strut assemblies to a mechanic and having them swap the strut would have cost more than the tool. And, you get to keep the tool.

Great purchase
Way better than the two piece rental type spring clamps. Much safer and easier to use with only one not to tighten

It works! (2008 Outback)
This tool worked when loaner strut spring compressors wouldn't (2008 Outback). Not the easiest tool to use, but if you don't have access to a full suspension shop it will get the job done. It is built solidly and is heavy.

Not good quality
Pretty much good for a one time use. The retaining spring washer popped off the end but it still worked OK, I put it back in a couple times and it kept on popping out. After removing Springs from from shocks there was a huge metal gouge along the length of the tool.

Great product and price
Worked great and made a lot safer and easier the task of changing the struts. Good quality tool.

Saved time and money!
Spring kit came packaged in a good storage case. Unit and adapters all fit together well. I would rate this a medium duty spring compressor system. Medium duty meaning perfect for at home use or a professional shop that does not do a high volume of spring work. Over all very happy with purchase.

It’s a good one
It was easy to use and safe at the same time. Had enough travel to accommodate many strut sizes.
