UFO-ET ' Enigma ' continues !
Well now, folks....I enjoyed the book, ' Pioneers Of Space '...it is said by the Rep of G.A.F. International, [ George Adamski Foundation International ] to have been based on FACTUAL experience(s) by George Adamski....I have since passed the book on to an acquaintance @ a Christian Co-op in Dateland, AZ....a couple of folks there are also interested in ETs and UFOs as well. The book was a real enjoyable ' ride ' from Earth to the moon, and on to Mars and Venus ! I Pray for Truth....within and without !

Tiresome Story About Contact with People from the Moon, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn
"Professor" George Adamski was allegedly the first contactee. This book describes a trip by four people, including someone called George, to encounter inhabitants of planets in the solar system and learn from them about the Creator and Jesus Christ. The publisher, Mr. Beckley, states in the foreword that a first edition of this book was on sale for $700. For that price, the book must presumably be special, and on the front cover, it states that the book has not a normal introduction, but a Special Introduction by William Hamilton III. Hamilton's introduction was not special, in my opinion, but boring, and I skipped over it halfway through. The narrator presents surprising revelations about the planets and the moon. The moon has trees, lakes, cities, "very much like our Earth," with "tall timber growing ml [sic] the higher mountains." On Venus is to be found a building apparently made of pearls, 1000 feet high. Mars, meanwhile, is reportedly "very similar to Earth," featuring large mountain ranges and very fertile valleys. Martians live in large homes with lawns, he says.As for the inhabitants, Moonmen are tall, with delicate, but strong body structure, with clear white skin. "A feeling of warm friendliness is expressed toward us through his deep blue eyes. ... His mouth is firm but very sensitive and in it he has very good teeth, strong, firm and white." "Venetians," meanwhile are "blondes with a very, very rosy complexion. Their eyes are blue with a cast of purple in them, ... Their forms as a whole are exquisite for males." Concerning the women from Venus, the narrator exclaims, "and are they beauties!"The denizens of the solar system have wisdom and a few tricks with which to dazzle Adamski. A moonman, by donning a royal robe and using a special gem, is able to flutter his arms, and hover in the air like a humming bird. But once in the air he doesn't need to wave his arms like a humming bird. The moonpeople possess gold trinkets and ornaments and speak a language like Sanskrit. Martians have an insignia of a heart and a handshake across the heart. Adamski is informed that Jesus was the last messenger from Saturn. People on the moon are able to quote the words of Jesus, e.g. "I am in the world, but not of it." The Martians have powerful telescopes, able to see one billion sextillion light years away. The space adventurers are popular wherever they go. Two million greet them on Mars. When they arrive back on Earth, this is the welcome: "Everyone is gathering around us trying to shake our hands and some of them are tearing our clothes off for souvenirs."It's a really appalling book, almost completely uninteresting. It comes in bloated A4 format with inflated text size suitable for the visually impaired. $40 represents terrible value for money. It is poorly bound, and, after only minimal handling, pages are starting to detach from the spine. It was scanned, poorly, from the original. One sentence reads: "We have walked a good five miles, yet we don't feel tired, even though we have lost much. sleet."It has a couple of appendices, featuring reference from the LA Times of 1934 about a new Lamaistic Order, presided over by Professor George Adamski, featuring golden robed men. Some literature from this order is also included. In this section, the reader can read some of thoughts of Adamski, e.g. that he considered it "logical and evident that we have lived many times before" and that "Jesus the Christ said, 'Pray, pray without ceasing.'"A CD is included, featuring Desmond Leslie speaking at a lecture in Capston Hall in 1958, stating that hundreds of people had been turned away as the lecture hall was full. Then Adamski speaks and rambles on about how a space craft over San Diego didn't land because the crew didn't know how they'd be received. A medium was then consulted to follow the ship up mentally, he adds. He also mentions that he had been studying and teaching courses in telepathy. As for the name of Adamski's buddy from Venus, he states that Orthon "was not his name. I have him that name for the sake of the readers. I do know his symbolic name, which thus far nobody has yet brought through." The superiority of the Venusians is displayed in their music and art, which is "far advanced" and that they are "better looking" and they live longer, "800 earth years." Finally, Adamski offers some advice: "If you see a spacecraft, send a thought out, they will do it. If not, it's not a ship."The book has a funny cover, so could perhaps serve as a novelty present for a saucer skeptic in the family. Otherwise, it's a waste of paper.

This book is great if you want to see a little known part of 1950s Americana. It was a much more innocent time, but big things were brewing(atom bomb) There are those that take it verbatim, I do not. To me it is an enjoyable journey to a past time.

Waste of Money and Time
I bought Pioneers of Space as a kindle download because I had read excerpts of George Adamski's ideas and I wanted to read more of his work. From the first, I did not feel the book was what it represented itself to be. Reading the forward one hears the authors describe the array of evidence in support of George Adamski's accounts and then, the very last sentence of the foreword states, A companion work will be issued...which suggests that he might have been "a disinformation agent"...Although that seemed out of place, especially since it culminates the foreword leaving a piece of pretend information in the reader, I continued to read. The narrative was so unlike Adamski, who reports with clear eyes to details from a person versed in science and research of all manner of cosmic phenomena.Pioneers of Space reads like a story from the mind of someone imitating Edgar Rice Burroughs. It could not be as it represents itself to be, a book authored by George Adamski. I did not know as I read the first 50 pages that Adamski denied having authored the book. So, it was a total waste of my time and money. I am completely uninterested in debating about what George Adamski reported. It was like reading a cheap shot at a serious attempt made by a man to report on life existing beyond the customary human experience.I would rate it a ZERO if that was possible.

Excellent read for those who beleive we are not the only ones!
George Adamski to me was a sincere man, his listeners were not fanatics and always reasoned withng the limits of possiblities, no fiction here.

Proof reading would have made the book better
I enjoyed the story but the content is scanned back to text from a printed version and is riddled with typos and formatting errors. A simple proof-read before releasing the Kindle version would have made it easier to read. As for the excerpt of the next book at the end, it was impossible to read so I didn't buy.

contents good but editing needed
I really enjoyed the contents of this book , but it appears that it was scanned in to a digital format and neglected to have a content editor afterwards. It would be much improved if this digital edition were updated with the necessary edits made.
