15x Magnifier Jewelry Loupe LED UV 21mm Triplet Lens Optical Glass Pocket Gem Magnifying Tool Jeweler, Stamp Philatelist, Coin Numismatic

I bought a 10X and a 20X triplet loupe (different make) for friends. Was disappointed in both of those fields of you - tiny width of view. Later I got this 15X and am very impressed by the wider field of view. The light is super helpful. Would have given it five stars except the batteries deplete quickly. Is this thing too small for rechargeable? The case and lanyard are also and unusually nice.

The field of view is a little small but that is to be expected with a 15X/21 mm loupe. The light works well and does not wash out color or details. Depth of focus is about average; I get a sharp image at about 1 inch away. Moving the loupe in and out does not lose focus but changes image size. The lenses are chroma-corrected so the images are sharp and correct, but with quite a bit of fish-eye distortion. The image you see is also inverted. I use this for fly-specking my stamp collection. The UV lamp seems like a good feature to have, but it seems to be relatively low power and mostly long wave: probably better for minerals than checking stamps. (I still rely on my larger UV lamp with 2 different filters.) Full metal construction so the lens mounting is firm, and it comes with a nice vinyl case (which fits in a pocket) that holds the magnifier, a lanyard, and the tool to replace the battery, all securely padded in dense foam. Not nearly the construction or performance you'd see in a more expensive loupe, but a good magnifier for the money.

15x loupe is much better than 10x. This loupe picks up details much quicker. Very glad I bought this. The built in light helps a lot with or without good ambient light. I highly recommend it.

I use this to examine IDs and money. Most have one dim LED which isn't of much help. This one has several white and several ultra violet bulbs. The 15x is just at the high end of power for my use. It's useable for sure but 10-12x would be better for this. The body is all metal and the zippered case is very nice as well.

Never used a loupe before, but I don't think they're suppose to be inverted? Hard to use if this is normal.Other than that, feels nicely constructed. Sturdy with some weight to it. The LED and UV light options are nice to have.

I was comparing this to another high end brand which seemed completely identical outside of the fact that the other one offered, was only 10K. This one is 15K. The other brand even cost more. THIS one also had a very nice hard zippered case and other accessories which the other brand was void of. When I bought it there were literally NO other reviews yet. However it looked identical to the quality and other specifications for this other brand so I decided to take a chance. I am happy to say I was not disappointed. Everything works perfectly, batteries and all.

Has a nice bright light to see down in dark areas of the small hose fittings I check but the battery life does not last long. I have replaced the batteries (3 each time) twice and it is super bright for 2 days then gets dull again.

I do like the magnification of this loupe, and having two light settings is great, but the magnifying glass is domed and has only a small area for the focal point. Basically, you have to only look in the very center of the product for you to see clearly. Otherwise it's blurry around the edges of the circle.

C'est une bonne loupe, suffisante pour ma part. Le seul défaut est que je dois coller mon œil à la lentille pour voir à l'endroit, si je m'écarte d'un cm, la vision est inversée, c'est assez dérangeant , j'ai eu d'autres loupes avec lesquels je n'ai eu pas ce souci d'ultra proximité.

la loupe en elle même est parfaite .en revanche le système d attache , la dragonne et la petite ficelle sont catastrophiques ..peu solides ...et cassantes...nous avons acheter deux loupes et les deux ficelles de maintien ont lâché immédiatement ...??? il a fallu trouvé un système d attache improvisé pour avoir la possibilité de porter la loupe autour du cou ..c est dommage ...mais la loupe et les lumières Led et UV elles en revanches sont très bien .

Une loupe parfaite pour observer dans tous leurs détails des apothécies de lichens par exemple, avec l'éclairage intégré et une belle qualité de finition, mais le cordon est très fragile et a cassé au bout de quelques sorties, sans prévenir.. .Prévoir donc un cordon solide et tout ira bien pour vos observations en pleine nature. les lichens en hiver sont splendides !
