The Law of Divine Compensation: On Work, Money, and Miracles

... recommended by a dear friend who saw my struggles and worries were holding me back. Since reading it and incorporating a few of its many suggestions into my daily prayers, my business has soared! It went from a part-time hobby to a thriving, enjoyable, profitable full-time pursuit. Marianne helped me to see my work from a different perspective, one in which I am not the only one benefitting from it: my clients, their clients, the recipients of the art we make all benefit and grow from my efforts. My efforts, seen through this more universal perspective, are worth the hours I put into them, have a higher purpose, and bring in the profits I thought would pass me by.

I am a huge fan of Marianne Williamson! I have also attended and watched her lectures. She is a passionate woman who genuinely cares about people and has incredible insights to offer. What I respect the most is her ability to reach out to people of different faith backgrounds without offending or ridiculing their beliefs. There are very few people who can do that. The Law of Divine Compensation is the fourth book of hers that I’ve read. It’s a short read that encompasses various aspects of life with a spiritual and positive approach to money and the good it can do if people utilize it properly. Most if not all of Marianne’s concepts and ideas are derived from the Course in Miracles book.The Law of Divine Compensation teaches how to ask, pray, cultivate, and receive blessings from the universe and God in order to live a more spiritually driven and fulfilling life. What I love even more is that there are written prayers that the reader can read to themselves in order to begin this magnificent and transformative process. I do think this book is a bit short and rushed (thus the reason I gave it a four and not five) so if you want to go more in depth about Marianne’s spirituality and insights check out her book, The Gift of Change. It was my personal favorite.

I truly loved this book! I listened to the audio version (via audible) and enjoyed hearing it read by Marianne Williamson herself. Hearing the author's voice deliver such powerful, spiritual knowledge on work, career, and divine compensation provided much needed internal wisdom that my soul was seeking. This book will help you see past societal myths and misconceptions surrounding work and money and tap into spiritual truths that will inspire and uplift you. This is definitely a must read!

I am 59 years old and have just lost everything I own. I am starting again with such faith and confidence, which is very different to how I was before I read this book. She has literally saved me and set me on a new wondrous voyage. I have lived my life, brought up a daughter from a a very young age, had many long term relationships, been battered emotionally by life, yet I survived through sheer grit and determination never taking the time to look deep to heal wounds and to set boundries. The recession in South Africa over the last 3 years affected my business and I made some pretty stupid decisions and got involved with the wrong people. After a protracted court case which I won, the company went into voluntary liquidation which meant I lost everything. Because I know and believe that I am in exactly the right place at the right time, I looked very deeply at what caused this situation and why. It started with me and ends with me. What lessons I learned! I wake every morning with a prayer on my lips, energy to get through the day regardless of banks and creditors phoning me. Marianne, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for reminding me that God is my partner, that I am protected and that things can change in an instant when I ask. I am halfway through this book and loving it. At first I could't get started. Then I had a hard time getting past chapter 2 but I knew it was me that was the problem. After several weeks of carrying it with me but not opening I ordered it on Audible and now am reading it and feel so blessed at getting myself to read this book. Sometimes I just listen, other times I read along with the audio listen. This book provides me with so much insight to my thoughts on money, who my role models are/were and how I have been blocking myself and standing mentally and emotionally in the way of financial success.

I love Marianne Williamson & have read several of her books. When I read her literature I feel my spirituality increase. Work is an area I struggle with. Tonight, I read, "It`s a strong person who chooses not to whine, who gets up even when he doesn't feel like it, puts his best foot forward, and goes to yet another job interview when he`s been rejected by the last five prospective employer. It takes a person of real grace not to blame a spouse, or give in to "I told you so," or sit around and only cast blame on others for difficult circumstances. And it takes a spiritual seeker to realize that whatever is happening now can be a platform for a miracle." Good to know I am not alone.

This is one of those books which you find yourself reading so slowly because you’re writing down so many quotes. Wise, beautiful, inspiring, comforting - I suspect this is a book I shall return to very frequently.

Its a good book but kind of feels New Age religion type of reading. Ive never read the Secret but from what ive heard this sounds similar by putting things out in the universe and thats not how God works if its not his will we wont recieve it. Our will must line up with our Fathers will God is not Santa so its a bit misleading in that area.

This book has change my life. I listen to this book practically everyday. Now I have started to see miracles happen. Thank you Marianne Williamson for your prays and encouraging words.Should anyone need some direction in your life I recommend this book. I have now brought this book in Audio & Kindle fantastic.
