Gently Falls The Bakula

This story has come many times as movie! I did not find extraordinary in the theme. Leaving house cannot be the only solution! Why people cannot show that men (Indian, especially) do not have guts to accept intelligence, freedom of his wife? the story would have more touched if it was shown that Shrikant has bent down to Shrimati's aspiration and has created room for her. End could have been much better with this view!!!

While the story is different the author has written it in a very child like manner. I would not waste my money.

Sudha murty mam...has a wonderful and simple way of writing which keeps the readers engrossed in her story... i read a lot of serious stuff on politics and caste based discrimination..but murty mams book act as a stress buster for me...once you pick up the book..you just cant keep it down.

A simple book story revolving around husband and wife.No much twists and turns, but still a good read.Corporate life and its impact on personal lives is very clearly shownIf one not realised the important of family n strike balance between life and work. We will eventually become Shrikanth

Sudha Murthy is on of those Indian writer who believes in keeping the things simple with having a great affect. This is simple story of a every Indian woman in your society who sacrifices her career for her family. But eventually her sacrifices and dedication is considered as her duty towards her family members. Overall I loved the book and story telling capability of sudha Murthy ☺️

Excellent story. The best of Sudha Murthy I hav read so far. Though seems lik a typical female career-sacrifice for luv, it really shows it in its depths. Few scenes are sooo captivating, I still replay in my mind. The beech scene in the play was excellently written

What can be said about this author????A very well woven beautifully knit love story which involves issues like carrier v/s love and a tragic sacrifice at the end.Must read for the lovers of life...
