This is my first impression of this keyboard cover.Adaptability: It certainly has a different feel to it, but not too much. Because it is thin it Doesn't affect the feel or sound too much. I included a video of me typing with and without the cover so you can compare the sounds.Thinness and Fit: SUPER thin. I tried to upload a video of me moving the cover so you could see the thiness but Amazon only let me upload one video. It is Very easy to place and adjusts instantly. My laptop doesn't have the indented keyboard, but the cover still lays flat and very nicely. For reference, my laptop is the Dell Inspiron 17 series 7000 7706 17" laptop. There are some places where the cover and keyboard dont match, such as the "backlight key" and "fingerprint power button". However, its not much of an issue. I can just lift up the cover when I need to use my fingerprint.Backlight viability: my laptop has a light under the keyboard than can be turned on or off. The light shines well around each key with the cover on, but not so much through the white parts. I believe the ink is Opaque. From afar it kind of looks like the keyboard lights up through the cover, but from up close you can see that the lettering is just the white paint, not the light shining through. If you are using your laptop on your lap and your doing homework at night, I suggest just taking the cover off and using the backlight, unless you want to turn the light on. You can probably use the light as a guidr and just remember where each key is on your laptop, though.The price: I believe this fits the price. Normally I would think "$5-6 for a silicone keyboard cover? What?!". But after getting it and seeing just how well it fit and how thin and well made it was, I have to agree with the price!Some Errors: There are a few places where the black ink missed, as shown in the pictures. But the material itself is intact, its just the ink. Doesn't affect the functionality or the look. It just feels weird sometimes since I see it and think its a dust blob or a piece of lint.Conclusion: This keyboard cover is well made, thin, and fits well. If you have a fingerprint reader on your laptop, just cut the end off the cover or lift it when you want to use the reader. If backlight visibility is very important to you, maybe look for another cover. Nonetheless, you can still make out the keys on your keyboard with the cover on. Highly recommend!

Fits my laptop keyboard well, and it works to keep my alphabetic symbols and numerals clean when I type on them with pencils. If it fits your laptop computer, it will be great. It won't last forever if you use it constantly, but it is a plastic film. I recommend it.

My wife wasn't very happy with the new Dell Laptop I bought her, and after a moments glance I could see why. The silver reflective keyboard with almost invisible keys is by far the worst part of this otherwise super laptop. Not being able to see the keys is a major design flaw. I found this keyboard overlay and it has saved the laptop and our sanity, it fits perfectly, the keys are clearly visible, and it has a nice tactile touch too. It has stuck down firmly and shows no sign of movement, so we are hugely satisfied and impressed with it.

Resolved the difficulty in reading the keyboard. Have to cut out the area around the finger touch in upper right. Is doing what I purchased it for.

The keyboard does not show up. Couldn't see letter and numbers even with light on. This fixed the problem. This is the second cover. The 1st one lasted 1 year. Fits perfectly.

This overlay makes the keyboard very easy to see and utilize. It is soft, supple, and a prefect fit! The price was also very affordable, so I ordered two. One for now and one for the future! Great product.

Like a lot of people with silver keyboards, I bought this to make it easier to see the keys, especially at night. It isn't a terrible product, but it's not what I was looking for.For one, the letting on the keys is printed in white; it isn't transparent. Backlighting will shine around the border of each key, but not through the top like I would've preferred. The keys are also kind of rubbery; I find my fingers getting caught on keys while typing or keys not registering since I tap so lightly normally. One other thing I noticed is that when the laptop is closed, the screen will press against the keys, causing a stamp-like effect to be imprinted.Pros is that the product fits perfectly; it may take a day or two for it to sink in, which I didn't mind.

GREAT! I have used this DELL Computer for the last two years, with great difficulty due to this light colored keyboard. I was willing to replace the keyboard with black keys until I found this overlay. This overlay works great and is thin enough that it does not interfere with key movement.I highly recommend!!
