We are yet to use our new 2600lbs Magnet Fishing Kit, however, we are very pleased with the quality of each piece in the kit, especially the carrying case. Past magnet fishing with a much smaller magnet, has yielded nothing more than the tiniest bits of ferrous scraps & pebbles. With this much larger/more powerful magnet, accompanied by a grappling hook, will surely reward us with much more rewarding magnet fishing results.

Bought this to augment some other magnets I have. The magnet seems well built and I've set this up as a double sided orientation (for dragging). The case is nice and adequate. The only thing I didn't like from this kit is the line and carabiner they provide. I wouldn't trust either. The carabiner felt as flimsily as it looked. The line was (and still is) super stiff which makes handling difficult and will kink and bind up easily. Get quality replacements for both.

This turned out to be a surprisingly helpful purchase.... I have a long deep water pier and boat that always seems to need some kind of maintenance. Over the years, I've dopped a tool or two and always struggled to retrieve the item with a net, with varying degrees of success. I decided to give this a try. First off, its a very nicely manufactured item in a very nice storage box. The magnet itself is very well machined and finished. Its quality is excellent. It comes with a long nicely braided rope with attached carabiner (did I spell that right?). It also comes with a small bottled of thread-lock, gloves and a small grappling hook. And goodness, this magnet is strong. I do worry that if I ever inadvertently attached it to the side of a flat metal cabinet that I might not be able to get it off. The great news for me is that within a week after receiving the magnet it helped me retrieve a small flagpole and a tiny AC power connecting bracket that fell in the water. The cost saved (and more importantly, the time saved) more than paid for the magnet.

Strong magnet, plenty of retrieve rope. Comes in its own carry case. Have yet tested it for actual efficient use and how it endures water by rusting.

Tres solide tres efficace c’est puissant

Bought 2 of these for my son and I. Seems like a good sturdy kit. If your fishing in an area with lots of large debris in the water then buy the heavy magnet as you don’t have it pop off as much. I put the grapple hook and the magnet on and drug up a shopping cart with it. But you also run the risk of having it get stuck on things on the bottom you can’t drag up. I’d buy this again and is a good past time to get my son away from the Xbox.

Well its been a while since I've had this and it's not bad. Not cracked , no chips and I've chucked it into water where I was thinking it was deep and still came out unscathed. The rope could be thicker but that's nothing in the grand scheme of things! Very good starter kit !
