Hollow Knight (Nintendo Switch)

Look, this is a beautiful game. Beautiful art, soundtrack, tragically beautiful story. It is difficult, especially if you're trying to get certain endings, but it's not impossible! It will give you a challenge in some of the combat bosses, but you just need to learn their patterns, and you'll be good. I love the background characters and their storylines. I just really love this game. I bought this copy as a gift for a coworker to get him hooked.

Amazing game, it has an original history, many secrets to discover and a lot of bosses. Some stages of the game become a very hard challenge.

This is one of the best video games I have ever played. If you like 2d scroller type games, you will likely love this game. The difficulty level is high as well. its not like a Mario type game where you can beat most bosses on the first try. There are many side quests as well. I had about 85 hours in to the game when I beat it. I would highly recommend this game and i'm hoping that the 2nd version of the game comes out on the Switch 2 this year.

Bought this on request. It is popular. I have the switch at my house along with kindles. Saves all distractions at home. Parents against a lot of electronics at young age. Grandparents house makes a nice balance. I avoid some of social media platforms.

Game looked great when my son was playing it, but he complained it’s too hard and gave up after a week straight of playing it. So maybe not a great investment, buyer beware.

First off, to those who aren’t serious gamers, know that there is a bit of a difficulty curve to overcome here and you’ll need patience and practice to make solid progress.I was an avid gamer in my youth, loving games such as Metroid and Castlevania. Games that you can get lost in the world and really explore. I put games down in my adolescence and recently picked them back up in my 30s. It’s brought back so many found memories of my childhood and Hollow Knight has fed my nostalgia.Hollow knight takes queues from the “metroidvania” genre and completely redefines open world exploration type games. The lore is expansive, the game mechanics are terrific. Did I mention it’s difficult, because it certainly is. So much so I almost put it down for good and I’m glad I didn’t.If you feel like you’re stuck and it’s just too hard, give it a break and come back to it later. You’ll start to practice your technique more and more, especially on tough bosses and you’ll “git gud”.The music is absolutely breathtaking and you’ll find yourself humming along to it as you play. Another sign of a solid video game.Make no mistake, this game is an instant classic and will be played by generations to come.I’m so happy I discovered this game and can’t wait for the sequel “Silk Song” to come out.In the meantime, I’ll start a new game slot and rediscover the magic of the world of Hollow Knight.
