Sharp, heavy and well balanced but coating can stick to starchy veggies
This knife is great quality, heavy, well balanced and sharp. The added sharpener, plastic knife cover and finger guard are also handy. The knife’s design is really eye catching on both sides and construction seems to be solid, including the coating on the blade itself. The presentation case is of sturdy construction and would make this knife a really nice gift if you know any amateur chefs. I got this knife in the amazon days sale which made it an extremely good value purchase too. When using the knife it felt heavy but balanced so cutting through dense vegetables like Swede (my nemesis if my knife isn’t sharp enough) sure footed and easier than I’m used to. My current knife set is sabbatier and still in daily use after 10 years and many sharpenings so that gives an indication of quality. One slight concern when cutting into starchy vegetables like potatoes, the knife is quite wide and the coating seems to make something of an air-lock with the vegetable pieces making it difficult to simply lift the knife out to move the vegetable pieces for the next cut. I’m not sure if the width / design of the blade or the coating cause this effect but it is something to watch out for.All in all I think this knife was a bargain and would make a good gift or treat if you prepare vegetables from scratch

I love it!!
I have had this knife for over a year. I give it a quick run though on the provided sharpener ones every 2 weeks or so. It is as sharpe as ever and makes my cooking prep experience so much easier and enjoyable. The grip is comfortable for my medium sized hands. Nice weight that is not fatiguing, and looks exquisite.

Very sharp and very good
Very sharp. Completely transformed my cooking experience. This is the first really sharp knife I've used. I needed to be extremely careful as I had not developed a safe cutting technique. Before I was used to sawing away with difficult ingredients. This just takes one stroke and very little pressure. What a difference. I keep the knife in its sheath and away from other cutlery.

So sharp you'll cut yourself just looking at it.
I bought this after breaking 2 ceramic knives in 2 years. Although the ceramic knives were good value for money at £20 for a set of 5, I wanted something a little more permanent. There was a lot of choice to choose from. I bought this because it had good reviews and I reduced in price. It is sharp. Very sharp. I have cut myself quite a few times over the past few months. Once quite badly. But, that's my own stupid fault. I wanted a sharp knife and I certainly got one.I have taken to washing the knife as soon as I start to wash-up rather than putting it in a sink full of dishes. My one gripe is that the blade itself feels a bit tinny. But, it's a damn sight sturdier than the ceramic knives it has replaced.2024 Update: I thought it may be useful to do a follow up after using the knife for a few years. It's almost May and I've been using the knife every day for general cooking use when I make dinner. About 5 or 6 months ago the knife became blunt and needed sharpening. The sharpener you get with it is not fit for purpose in my opinion. I have one of those sharpeners that you see chefs using, it looks like a poker. Sadly, nothing I do makes the knife sharp enough. Slicing onions and tomatoes is Hell! I have just ordered a new knife, a different make. I note that at the moment the knife is about £19 and in my opinion it's worth that.
