A few issues after a few years.
I bought this unit about 5 years ago and I loved it. It was not as expensive as it is now, I believe I paid $650 for it back then. But I loved it. I even bought the Serato Rane SL system to use on it. It was less expensive than its Pioneer counterparts and it worked perfectly. I like that it also had CD slots where I could still mix with CDs as well as the Serato software. After a few year it started to act up. The Cue button would go out then I would have to tirn off the whole system and restart it and that wasn't good when it would happen when I was DJing a big party. And just recently the CD slot on the left won't allow you to put in a CD regularly, I had to keep pushing the eject button for the CD to be inserted. So I guess the older it got little issues started to arise. So it was good for about 3 years. I have now upgraded to the Pioneer family of controllers.

Please be careful
The media could not be loaded. I've had a pretty negative experience with this product overall. I would not recommend you buy this, and I will not be buying anything by Gemini again. You've probably heard that people have had problems with this unit. You might be thinking, "Oh, they just got a defective unit." At least that's what I thought when I purchased mine. But please heed the warnings and be very careful about purchasing one of these. If you somehow manage to get a fully working one, it will probably work just fine, but there are some things about this product that are pretty big design flaws that make even a fully functioning unit a disappointing experience. My CDMP7000 had major issues. When you use a USB stick, the master output produces static. I didn't encounter any problems with static interference when I used an SD card or CDs in this thing. Quite a strange thing indeed. I tend to use CDs over USB sticks so it didn't bother me too much, but in no circumstances should a device like this produce static over the master outputs. Imagine playing a house party with this thing.Seek mode sucks. When you have vinyl mode off and use the jog wheel to search the track, it messes up the waveform on the display, so it doesn't match the music that's actually playing. This can be a major issue for people who use the waveform to help beatmatch. When this occurs you have to reload the track from the beginning to get the waveform to match up with the track again. It's also really slow and skippy, making it impossible to seek accurately with vinyl mode off. Which brings me to my next problem.Vinyl mode causes the jog wheel to malfunction and ruin a mix. The surface of the jog wheels are touch sensitive. But it my experience they are more accurately "warm air" sensitive. You can literally hold your hand 3 or 4 inches away from the jog wheel and it will cause the track to stop and skip around. I'm actually not joking. I made a video. There were times when I'd be 30 minutes into a mix and the thing would just start bugging out for no reason. I wouldn't even be breathing on it and it'd start acting like it does in the video. Oh, sorry for the vertical video btw.You also see in the video how unresponsive and garbage the touch screen is. Notice how it takes me a good 5 or 6 tries just to seek in the track. The play and cue buttons only work about 90% of the time. This is a serious problem and can seriously screw up a mix if you plan on introducing a track at a certain time. I've heard from other places on the internet that these buttons will just die in a few months time. The scroll nob for browsing through your tracks is pretty poor. Sometimes it will skip 2 or 3 entries, sometimes it will just bring you all the way back to the top of the list. If you go slow, it doesn't do it nearly as often. This is a minor problem, but it shouldn't be a problem at all. This is easy stuff, guys. But all that being said, if you manage to get a unit without the static when using USB, and the issues with Vinyl mode, and play and cue buttons that work every time, then you actually have yourself a decent little dj controller that would make a good beginner set of decks. When everything is working the way it's supposed to it's a blast to use. I would only buy this if you can get it used from someone who will let you test the thing out for a few days before committing.

The overall product is great. The different features and filters accessible provide a great way to mix the music. However it had a glitch in the middle of tracks and would happen more often the colder it got. Also I went to use it for a show and we where using it during the day (about 75°F) and the right deck frooze. So I went to turn it off and back on. And now they will not turn on. I have tried several different outlets and cords and they still don't turn on.

Gemini CDMP 7000
Superb, much better than i expected because of the negative reviews, very nice details, love the jog adjust and the jog mode, my unit has no flaws like some of the reviewers told, you can play in your house, in a friends party or in a club with this. Five stars.

It broke.
I've had this controller for about 2 and a half years now. I liked it. It wasn't as responsive as I like but it still worked well. Over the years it has gotten slower an less responsive. I tried using it today and it was impossible to use. The cue button only worked like 10% of the time and random effects like reverse would just turn on out of nowhere. It even started changing songs in the middle of a set. Keep in ming though I've had this controller for a few years now, I barely used it. If I were a professional DJ using this controller everyday, it would probably break within a few months. Over all I thought it was a good deal for all the features it has like CD drives and SD card readers, but none of that is helpful if the system is slow and unresponsive. I cant really recommend buying it as its rather outdated in 2018 and it might break like mine did. Thanks.
