Does its job

I had one of these for years until the window cleaner knocked it off so bought this one, made sure the window was clean and grease free but it falls off the window every night and has now smashed when it fell off last night. Not worth the money might as well buy the cheaper one.

Cheap, cheerful but appears accurate. Sticks on outside of window and hasn't fallen off despite best that wind and rain can do.

Other reviewers have commented on the accuracy, so I wasn't expecting much. But I spot checked it over the general working range that I was expecting, and it's quite accurate.I would note that you really need to view it straight on, otherwise there will inevitably be parrallax errors.There is a small central adjustment screw that could be used to tweak the reading.The adhesive pads seem to work well too.

I don't take this by its word, but more a rough guide. Its outside on the window and has stood firm so far in freezing and raining conditions. Temperature wise, I use it as a rough guide as on some cold days it's claimed to be 5-10 Celsius more simply as it was in direct sunlight.

outdoor temperature is down to 12C, and it is still 20C,double side tape not strong, i had to use my own

The quality of this thermometer is very poor, don't buy it, although the store's attitude and service are good, but the poor quality can't be compensated. When I sent it back for the first time, I found that it was broken. The store's attitude was very good. It has been broken for two weeks, and the temperature display is not accurate. The quality of the thermometer itself is not good.

Avant d'acheter j'avais vu tous les commentaires négatifs selon lesquels la température était fantaisiste, particulièrement en hiver, mais mon expérience est toute différente : le thermomètre marche bien et la température est juste.Il est possible que certains exemplaires soient déréglés au cours du transport (pas ceux que j'ai achetés) mais dans ce cas il suffirait de l'ajuster à l'installation (avec un petit tournevis).La seule réserve possible pour moi est que l'affichage n'est pas très précis (analogique plutôt que digital), mais c'est clair d'après la description. Disons qu'on a la température à un degré près.En tout cas il remplit son rôle: posé sur une fenêtre (à l'extérieur), me donne la température extérieure quand je me lève le matin.

I bought this to put with my hamster so I could make sure the room was an ideal temperature for her. However after a week of use it stopped working. It said it was 18c when it was actually around 10 or 11c. Thankfully I had access to a different thermometer otherwise my hamster could have died. Hence the 1 star as it put a life at stake.
