I was looking for a basic flat leather collar for my dog who managed to escape our yard on 2 occasions. We do not normally keep a collar on our dog when at home for safety reasons, that's why I decided on the flat leather collar as it would be easier to cut if need be and also the fit does not have a lot of slack to get caught.This collar is well made for a good price, and it also looks nice on our dog. Provides a "handle" in the case that he does escape again. It doesn't seem to bother him wearing it all the time.Very happy with this purchase!

Honestly I was very leary to purchase this collar for my German Shepherd as the price was very inexpensive. It arrived today delivered by my favorite Amazon delivery person- the collar is made of quality leather and the perfect width for my dog- I needed a replacement as my dog got skunked and Amazon delivered quickly. My shepherd is 75 lbs ordered extra large- just in case it ran small. There is plenty of room. I would highly recommend!

It's a very nice collar. The leather is soft and the width is perfect. I would say the width is no different than the regular collars in that size that you can buy at a store. The medium size fit my mini Aussie perfectly. Now I don't have to worry about my other dog taking this collar off like the ones that have a plastic snap buckle. I'll be ordering another collar but in a small size for my other dog. I'm sure that my pups will get many years out of these collars.

Well made leather dog collar. Wished the ring that the leash is attached to was a bit smaller in thickness. Hard to find hooks to attach the tags to the ring. Excellent customer service by the vendor.

UPDATE:. The owner of the company reached out to me almost immediately after my original review to discuss my dissatisfaction and offer a solution. I was not expecting anything out of this, I was just sharing my experience. So having them take time out of their day to try and make things right was truly refreshing in this day and age where most of the time you feel like a number rather than a person. I have amended my original 3 star review to 5 stars for their exceptional customer service. It was a very classy way to conduct business. Not only did it make me feel heard but it shows integrity and compassion.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love the softness of the leather and it's well constructed. But the sizing is not medium small dog friendly. I have a small dog with a 13" neck. Apparently this means the width is at least an inch and the hardware is thick and clunky. The D ring for a tag is so thick there is no way to attach a name tag with a split ring. You can only use an S clamp which I do not like on a small dog (easily snags things and hangs too low). And the width is so overbearing on a small dog it looks ridiculous and is cumbersome to movement. In addition, this company is one that does not overlap sizes so if your dog's neck fits in between sizes you either have no extra or 12 inches of extra. I was ok with a lot extra but there is no keeper to keep it tidy. Instead I have a 12 inch flap flopping around. I think these will be fine for big dogs but for medium small, they just don't work. If your dog is less than 10", that size does come in 1/2 inch width and smaller hardware. I have one for one of my other dogs and it works well. Overall, would not recommend for dogs with around 13" neck.

This collar is made from a high quality strip of thick leather with strong and secure hardware. It's just what I was looking for, and at an amazing price. Most leather collars are made from two thin strips stitched together, but this is a thick slab of leather that somehow manages to be soft and flexible. It needed a second keeper to hold the end tab, so I wrapped a brown hair tie around the collar to tuck the end through. Will update in future if collar does not meet my expectations.

Purchased for my 125 lb German Shepard. Fits great. Very sturdy and well made. Has held up well for months and expect it to last for a good while. Great value and product!
