if this is your first: colon tube, it may take you a little while to learn how to use it. this used to be the standard tube used in hospitals and recommended by most doctors. The advantages that the tube will reach through the first two valves, if you will in the colon greatly reducing the struggle when you start the water. So instead of fighting against the water to get it to finally break through the first two barriers, you can start it and have it start to work in immediately or almost immediately. I find that I can take a lot more water using this and it's a lot easier. That said, it takes a while to learn how to work it in. You put in a lot of lubricant and very slowly advance it. Stop when you feel resistance. At that point, you should probably put in a small amount of water and stop then try again. At some point, everything will open up and you can insert it as far you probably want. I think it's worth it, but it is very different than using a nozzle, even a large one. Although you might think the largest one will work best, the smaller ones are surprisingly effective because you were avoiding all of the resistance from the initial valves in the rectum andlower colon.

Make sure you lube the tube at least halfway up its length before putting it in. Coconut lotion works very well. Work it in slowly, twirling around so it will follow your internal structure. Then enjoy a nice relaxing, stress free enema. I take 2 quarts for a deep cleanse, or one quart for a quick relief of a much needed bowel movement.

I appreciate the quality of the item. I may have chosen a size too large. I purchased the middle size. (30 I believe). Even as a “seasoned” user of these types of things, I struggled with this size. I will purchase again for a smaller version. Just a tip: If you’re not sure the appropriate size for you, I suggest going down one to make it a bit easier. :)

Unfortunately, I ordered two of these, the middle size first andy hen the smallest and found they were both too thick and stiff for my use. It would be great if they could offer a smaller size. Perhaps a size 17? I tried a size 12 from somewhere else and they were very thin--would take a long time to do an enema. I am doing coffee enemas and these are like the ones that the Gerson Institute sells, but the ones they sell don't have an open tip lie these do and so get clogged up on me a lot. I was hoping to get an open tip on the end, but alas, these are just too thick and too stiff to work. I found them painful.

This tube works really well for me. It has enough stiffness to direct thru the anus yet flexible and gentle. The size is good and I really don't notice any difference between the open or the closed end. I have used smaller tubes that have clogged or are not stiff enough. I use coconut oil for lubrication and have found that over time if it is not cleaned off well that the rubber starts to soften and loose it's stiffness.

This is a prime example of why you should purchase items online with a good deal of skepticism. The tubing is of the cheapest quality with burrs and tears in the material. I purchased this item because of it's length hoping to get a " deeper cleansing " but it is too flexible to insert to any helpful length. The open end is of no benefit as it collects matter during insertion and may be too difficult to pass water through. Although it is not expensive it is disappointing. You would be better to buy acrylic tubing from a hardware store or cut up an old garden hose. {JK}
