The Great British Baking Show: The Big Book of Amazing Cakes

This has all the cakes you could possibly want to bake! I’m giving it as a gift but I’m copying all the recipes first! Lol

We both love the show, and with plenty of extra time to explore new hobbies, I gave this cookbook to my husband for Christmas. He thought it was a great idea, and spent the next few nights bookmarking new projects. We are just finishing up a gorgeous carrot cake.

I love the show and was prepared to do some great british baking then I find that the recipes are different. I’ve found a great british store by my house that carries baking supplies and I was so excited. Mary Berry has always impressed upon the fact that caster sugar makes a huge difference in your bakes and none of these as far as I can see calls for it. Its all granulated sugar. I seen a similar review and she said she will order from amazon UK so I guess ill look into that. Its still a neat book but they should note that the recipes have been changed.

Very good cook book

I bought this as a gift for my 9 yr old granddaughter. Now I think I'll get it for myself. Simply a beautiful book with great looking recipes.

some instructions are confusing for inexperienced people like me, but I liked the selection of recipes 😊

Seemed like a great idea when I bought it, because my wife loves the show. So I thought it was a perfect birthday gift. A year later, she has made exactly one cake out of it, ironically for my birthday. It was a good cake, not great. But it was very involved and took a lot of work. And many of the recipes appear to be even more involved. I'm pretty sure the book will end up at the Goodwill store.

I bought this for my daughter in law as one of her Christmas gifts and she loved it! This is the second one I ve purchased for her. She loves to bake! I saw her when she was looking at the recipes and the pages look beautiful as well. I will be buying her more for a collection of these lovely books. This is her favorite show!!If you are on the fence don’t hesitate, you will not be disappointed
