Design flaw?
I love these skirts and I have both lengths but I feel there is an inherent design flaw. The Velcro on the left hip (that faces out) is the hooks. The Velcro on the inside of the last flap is the loop. The problem is that if you are not exactly the size they made the Velcro, the hooks grab onto the inside edge of your bathing suit tank or shirt. I am ruining some expensive bathing suit tops because of this. If the hooks were on the inside flap and the loops on the hip this wouldn’t happen. The skirts are designed to be adjustable but if you are even slightly larger than the size of the Velcro you may have this problem. I sized up and still have this problem.

Cute cover up for a young thinking grandma!
As an older and no longer petite grandma, I enjoy participating in water aerobics and plan to celebrate our 40th anniversary in Kauai this year. I wanted to wear my one piece suit and cute swim tops without 'scaring' anyone! This skirt fits the bill as it hides my "problem areas" while allowing me to look a bit more modest with cuteness built in!I normally wear a size 14 and the large size fit well. As others have mentioned you can wear it higher on your waist or lower on your upper hip bones. Since I am only 5', the length was perfect for me. It washes and dries well, so it will have multiple uses on our trip. The only problem I had was at a girls day out at a resort pool and lazy river pool, my skirt kept rising or floating up while I was in the water. I'm willing to accept it as I prefer the great coverage it has when I am "on land"!Another way that I can stay cute and dignified in my age group! Ha!Give it a try, I think you will like it too!

A Godsend!!
Oh my gosh! Where has this been all my life?? I've got gross thighs and spider veins that no one needs to see and I know it! The rest of me is ok! I DREAD being in public because swim skirts and shorts don't hide my cheese and distract from my legs...but I love the beach and the water. Stumbled on this and bought one in each length in size Large (I wear size 12 jeans as I'm 5'9"). Wow!! I fully thought I'd end up with the longer one, but this size is so flattering with the little flounce at the back that it hides me where I need it and it's SUPER cute!!! Returned the other length and I'm going to get a couple in this length I think! There is no way I could wear an XL...the Large is nearly too big so I might try a medium and see how it goes. The little pocket was handy for our locker key at the water park (and a mini lipgloss!) loooooooove it! Thank you RipSkirt! You saved my life!

Order your normal size!
I was thinking since I have a smaller waist I should order a size down since the skirt wraps around. I was able to put it on, but it was on the end of the velcro. So I returned it and ordered my normal size. In my opinion this skirt is definitely made to wear lower. Wearing it lower does NOT make it uncomfortable and actually is a good thing since I only have to size up on my upper hip area and not my waist. The skirt is adorable, the fabric hangs beautifully. Also, I'm short (5' 2"), so wearing it below my waist the Length 1 is really perfect. I tried the Length 2 and felt it was a little long for what I was looking for.

IN LOVE. This is a perfect skirt for the beach to bar. Forgiving in size. Super sweet!! Quality material and cut. Large fit me perfect. My waist is a 35-36" I wear a med to large bottom. My hips are 39" I have slimmer hips and an apple shape.

It's perfect!!!
I've been looking for a swimsuit that covers more than boyshorts bottoms, less floaty than a caftan, less complicated than a sarong, and more attractive than a towel. And swimskirts just don't fit right. Thought I had tried everything, until I tried the RipSkirt. It's perfect! It fits, it looks great, and it's simple to use.

Perfect cover-up
This is a great cover-up! I wore it everyday at the pool & beach during a trip to Cancun. I bought the medium & it fit me now as a size 10. I generally go to an 8 or even a 6 during the summer & I can see that it will adjust enough for all sizes. I'm 5'3" and wore this most of the time but I would wear the longer version to restaurants in the evening since I'm 70 years old. If I were younger I would wear it everywhere.

True to size yes, but don't go by the measurements.
Several reviews said these skirts were "true to size" and I agree IF you go by the 8-10, 12-14, etc. Going by the measurements is very misleading. According to the measurements, I needed an XL, but the medium fit me just fine, as I normally wear an 8. Also, several reviews said these skits didn't fit women with curves/hips very well, but as someone with both, I disagree. It fits me just fine. I love this skirt and can't wait to wear it next week when I head out for Vacation!
