Falcon Safety Junior Push Button Horn

Purchased this to scare off coyotes when walking my dog. Big problem in Southern California. Luckily, I haven't had to use it yet. I did accidentally hit it with my knee and it sounded, so I know it works. BTW, my nozzles (purchased 3+) were very loose and I thought that's the way it was supposed to be until it fell off. I twisted it on tight, which I assume is the way it should be.

I initially bought this "Jr Push Button Horn" for an race event called the Palmetto 200. A relay race from Columbia, SC to Charleston, SC. I ran this race as part of a 9 man team. I felt that I needed this "Jr Horn" in case my van mates failed to hear our calls for them to wake up in the middle of the night to run their leg of 3 to 10 miles. Could you imagine running your little heart out just to get to the exchange zone and nobody for team 98 to be at the exchange point? I sure could not. Once I had the "jr horn" in my possession I made a few dry runs inside the van. Boy were they surprised! If the looks on their collective faces was not enough, the blood dripping out of their ears was. Since my IQ is high enough to know that we needed this air horn, nobody missed their exchange. I really can't pat myself on the back enough for buying this air horn.

I got this horn to play a practical joke on a coworker. I taped it to his chair so that when he sat down, he set it off.It worked like a charm, drawing the entire office to his desk to see what the commotion was. Sadly though, it didn't hold up well and the back came off, so I have to take off a star.

The Coast Guard requires you to have one, so you blast it once or twice a season to make sure it works and pray to the Old Gods and the New that, not only doesn't it crap out when you need it, but that you never actually need it--except to scare the bejeezus out of cats that crap in your garden or whatever. So far, so good.

This horn saved my pup's life. A coyote approached on my driveway on a rainy night and when my dog reared up his collar slid off his wet fur. The coyote grabbed him and ran into the woods. I gave chase to the coyote with the horn and I could not see so I sprayed this in various directions not knowing exactly where they were. The noise must have spooked or distracted the coyote enough to drop him because the dog came running out of the woods with several bite marks but he survived! I can honestly say this horn was a life saver. I carry it whenever the dogs are out, even in our fenced yard.

worked great, except it broke. when i take a nap, i dont need the cats in the room. this not only cleared the room, it made my wife mad, and she closed the door. forcibly. then, she took a nap, and the cats woke her up. guess what she did? so now, the cats wont even go in the bedroom. but the thing broke, it doesnt quite seal, and the gas(i think it is co2) escapes from the side. however, now if i want to clear the cats out, all i gotta do is show them this horn, and they are GONE.

When you're in a small boat like a kayak, canoe, rowboat or sunfish you need something that will warn the powerboats away from you. Likewise, if you need attention from people back on the shore this horn will do it for you. I chose this particular item because it has much more "air" than the smaller horns that cost just a bit less. Also, the smaller, mini horns seem to have a lot of people complaining about their horns not working. A quick primer: 1 short blast: Pass on my left side. 2 short blasts: pass on my right side. Long blast (4-6 sec) Warning! 5 or more rapid blasts: immenent danger.

Bought this for a disabled friend on a respirator in a care home. Almost lost him several times when his respirator failed and nobody answered the call button. Bought this for him to use in an emergency and the five or six times he needed to use it he woke up everybody in the place and the nurses came running! Life saving! Thank you!!!
