Yes, but maybe not with precision of the best motor skills lol I bought this for my 1 y/o niece and she plays with it, but not for too long. She has more fun taking the fish out with her hands and putting them back in, rather then fishing them out with a fishing pole

Are the fish made of wood or plastic? Are the letters painted on or are they stickers?

The fish are made of wood and they have steel on them. The magnet is contained in the "lure" at the end of the two fishing poles. The letters appear to be decals.
