Genuine Toyota Accessories PT228-60060 Tow Hitch

It's the oem hitch and fulfills it's purpose while providing a clean factory look. The package arrived quickly and everything was in perfect condition. I picked up a torque wrench and did the installation myself. The hardest part about about that was talking the bumper cover off. Removing the bolts was simple enough, but pulling the cover out of it's clips took more force than I expected. It feels like you're going to break something, but you won't. Look on YouTube for instructional videos if you want to DIY.

It's all I ever wanted in a tow hitch. I considered some other after market hitches but decided to go with the Toyota hitch. Install went according to instructions. I know some are concerned about removing the bumper cover. It did take some effort to get it off. The cover installed back without any problems. I did have trouble with getting the first bolt in. Patience and silicon got it in and tight. All other bolts went in without issue. I bought it primarily to hold a bike carrier. After a couple of weeks, everything is solid. I like how it looks compared to some other aftermarket hitches. Now that I've got a hitch, I am going to get the hitch converter for the lights in case I do want to pull a trailer.

Great aftermarket bolt-on product! The product was a Toyota genuine item and came quickly. My only issue is that the stock bolt on areas on my bumper had rust in the holes which caused issues when tightening the bolts for the trailer hitch. Broke two bolts 😐. Make sure to clean out the holes thoroughly before install! Product came with a new bumper cover that makes the add on hitch look like it was always there!

It’s factory obviously so it fits and looks clean. It also mounts higher up in the bumper so you don’t loose ground clearance. Really easy to install as well. 2007-2014 FJ Cruiser.

The instructions are inadequate. However, you can find good instructions at http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/ When installing the bolts, it is necessary to slowly tighten each bold in the noted sequence working them all together toward the final torque of 80 ft-lb. The parts will come together correctly if the parts are loaded up evenly. Well built parts that look very nice on my FJ Cruiser Team Trail.

A simple installation resulted to difficulty, the holes were not alligned with my 2018 FJ Cruiser. Had to bring it to a machine shop to make adjustments. Anyways, it was finally installed with a Monster Hook i also bought from Amazon.... Looks Good! 😃

Product showed up, appears to be genuine Toyota part. Fit ok, had a little trouble installing but that was because of my old rusty bumper. It looks great now.

Because it’s a Toyota factory product, it fits perfectly. 2 problems, and has nothing to do with the product or its quality. Bolt holes for the hitch, are full of dirt and hard to install if you don’t clean them. The one connection under the dash is a real pain in the ass to connect with out small hands. Wear gloves or be prepared to scratch your hands up. I’m a large individual (6’4, 250lb), so I struggled to get in a position to easily fit my big mitts under the dash, but I got it done. Just takes patience. Not high tech. Highly reccomend the product.

Genuine OEM hitch, all parts included. Instructions fairly clear, search online for more detail if necessary. Took about 90 minutes which included knocking off rust and chasing the threads on the bumper mounting holes, which you really should do to avoid potential problems getting the bolts all the way in.

Great product. Instructions were easy to follow. I had it on and the bumper reassembled in under 3 hours. I used an impact gun, extended arm wrench and a torque wrench. Also had to pray and clean out the holes on the bumper since they were rusted.

OEM Product came with all the parts in good condition. Easily installed and looks profrssional.
